Very good products

The sensors have been installed for about 1 month, I had no problem integrating them into the thermostat. I also use Apple's home app for some automations. I recommend them for those who want to monitor their home without going through a surveillance company.

Good camera. Wish is was half the size though

Nice camera. I like the motion tracking with out the rotating of physical parts. I have it connected Apple homekit. It has disconnected from time to time but it is an easy fix to reconnect it. Hopefully with a firmware update it will remain stable. I like the Alexa integration. Why not Siri? The premium thermostat has Siri and airplay2 why not the camera. Hopefully another firmware update will make this a reality as well.

sensor service has a fee

I was under the understanding if you go the sensors you could set up the sensors to shut the ac. They charge for this, so now need to see if I can get my money back as there are other sensors I can get. Thermostat is good, though constantly showing high humidity even when ac set to low 70s

Almost perfect… almost

I bought this early December, and I love the response to Siri, I love the ability to tightly control the schedule, and I’d like the motion detection that manages efficiency. There is one change that needs to be made however. The smart home features override the schedule. It took a few weeks to figure this out, by that time my gas usage had quadrupled to what it normally is. Since I work at home in a detached studio, I walk in and out of the house all day long. I need the smart features to work, ...

They works as expected. Need this feature!!!

The hardware works as expected but for those of us with pets who roam the house while we are away could use a ‘Arm Pet’ mode that turns off motion but will still monitor doors opening and closing.

Works well

We fitted two smart door sensors which are useful to switch off AC when left open, so saving energy. Also, we have the security feature activated, this is useful to know when people are moving about when we’re not home. The Ecobee system we’ve installed integrates well with the smart home infrastructure, at night if a bedroom door is opened the hallway light comes on low so it’s possible to see where you’re going without compromising night vision.

OK but nothing great vs. competition

While the resolution is good, the wide angle is not so good. Previous camera had both resolution and 180 degree wide angle without fish eye effect. Also the controls for the camera can be improved. Much too sensitive and constantly turning on and sending notifications even when I am home. It seems geofencing is not available or not working. Frankly, I regret having replaced my previous cameras.

Top of the line

Easy install. 99% plug n play. Easy instructions. Great app. Highly recommended

multi-use sensor

An unusual sensor in that it has a few functions. Besides the standard 'is a door open' it also monitor motion/occupancy as part of the alarm system of ecobees, and it triggers the HVAC system if a door/window has been left open in excess of 5 minutes (with optional service for a fee), shutting it down so energy is not wasted. We have a couple of issues of false reporting, but hopefully those were just one-offs.

Rarely accessible.

It’s either disconnected itself from the ‘net, is ‘unavailable’, can’t see live video, is being unplugged and replugged, and so on. Has some neat tricks when it’s up. My other 3 brands work 109% good. Ecobees thermostats are great, camera is bad.

Reliable security

We recently added a second camera to enhance coverage of our home. The cameras turn on automatically when we leave home, and off when we return. They detect and track movement.

Becareful

I have purchased several of the cameras. I had a very time getting the camera to stay on its aluminum the first two I had fell right off the stand and onto the floor and broke (They are very fragile). After the third camera, I finally figure out the secret to keeping the camera on its stand. The camera works great and does a great job once it is mounted.

Great Product But Needs More

Ecobee is awesome! Integrating with Siri and HomeKit was my reasoning for buying it. Couple things I’d like to see: integration of the home security features into HomeKit so I can use Siri to arm and disarm my house natively without having to go through shortcuts. Motion sensors that are pet friendly. An automatic audible alarm. Lastly, I’d like to see a little bit more flexibility with the schedule so that I can be more dynamic based on my general needs throughout the day.

Waste of Money

Don't buy them unless you plan on paying for the monthly/annual subscription. Otherwise they are useless

Ecobee camera

Ive had this product for a few weeks now and so far not the greatest experience. Ive noticed connectivity issues through the app. Cameras doesn’t connect well, when it does just sound will work, no visual at times.

Goes offline often

I have this product for few weeks now. Goes offline and have to reconnect every time

Brutal

I bought this product late last year as a baby monitor, which is one of the features that it has on it. From the get-go, we’ve had problems with it not connecting, taking forever to load, and not being able to see our baby. Out of nowhere, they removed the feature to get a notification with movement, which renders it completely useless as a baby monitor. A complete waste of money. Do not buy this if you’re looking for a baby monitor, I would recommend anything else over this.
