Excellent!

Love these cameras, I have 4 of them now. They perform exactly as advertised. I only wish they were outdoor and weatherproof

Great security

Very easy to install and connect, so great to get notifications when I'm home or I'm gone when a door is open.

Camera quality could be much better

Was not impressed at all with the quality of the feed/sensor/night vision and connectivity leaves a lot to be desired. A Eufy camera that costs half as much does a better job with all of these aspects.

Great, but some more integration possibile

I love ecobee and these sensors. The only thing I suggest to improve is integrating the thermostat features and safety features. For example, when I select “arm away,” the thermostat can be set away automatically. The smart door sensor can be tied to the rooms of the house and sense if the space is occupied or not and tell the thermostat to optimize the temperature settings. These can be done through software improvements, so I hope ecobee will work on these soon!!!

Great Product

I love my new ecobee camera with audio, it’s a simple set up and even better functionality. I especially love the ability to pan the camera as well as how the camera pans on its own. Another great feature is the ability to use it while it’s even turned off (not unplugged) it can still detect motion. Great features, & easy setup

Love the smart app, Eco+ to save you money on heating and cooling. The door/window sensors which shouyt down heating and cooling when left open sold me on the Monitoring.

Good option but requires monthly subscription

Purchased windows/door sensors for basic functionality to alert if door was opened. Sadly, you have to pay a monthly fee which make no sense. Any savings you get by integrating these sensors with your ecobee are lost on monthly fees. In short, not recommended, especially when the required monthly recurring fee is not clearly spelled out up front

Exceeds Every Expectation

I recently installed my home security and thermostat with the Ecobee security bundle kit and smart thermostat. From start to finish I was amazed at how intuitive and simple the setup process ended up being. Not to mention the HomeKit integration is seamless and free of any technical issues. In fact, I was so impressed that I purchased two extra cameras and couldn't be happier. I recommend Ecobee products to anyone looking for high-quality and intuitive devices for your smart home setup.

Kind of useless?

After 2 weeks, not sold that it's actually worth anything. Great that it pauses HVAC if a door or window is open for 5min, but that's about the only / best feature. One thing to note that's not explicit in the product information: there's no audible noise made in the house when a door or window is open, like is standard on most security systems. I think Ecobee overlooked the importance of that.

Great features and optics - User interface lacking

I have had the camera for 2 weeks and like it except for the user interface. Confusing on how to turn on or off camera. Now that it is installed I would like when open app to choose either Thermostat, Camera or other? When I choose camera, present a simple set of choices, turn on or off camera, settings, etc. Also link to other device apps such as Kasa for lights and switches, Meross for Garage, Honeywell for alarm or others

60% of the time it works every time

Well, more like 10% of the time. I bought to get live views of vacation home. Despite high speed WiFi there and primary home, I have to try over and over to connect to camera. It’s not crazy expensive and wireless so I’m not completely unhappy but the glitchiness of connection was unexpected and annoying.

Solid option

Overall very easy to setup get going. Quality is very good. Only gripe is with HomeKit support, the video streamed in HomeKit does not keep the zoom settings that I setup in the ecobee APP and no way to setup in home-kit either.

Great Hardware Great Software

Ecobee make great home security Cams. Working with HomeKit is an added bonus for me.

No screw option

The sensor keeps getting off the sticky tape and sticking to main sensor thus generating false alarm. There should have been some screw option

I am very happy with my two new eco cameras so far. They have a great picture quality and can zoom very close.

Useless without subscription

The sensor is a proximity and motion sensor in one. It tells you when a door or window is open and that is what it does. If you want the A/C to turn off when a door is open, you need to subscribe to the security plan. I live in an apartment with 24h security. Why would I need a security plan to turn my A/C off when the patio door opens? The motion sensor cannot be integrated into the thermostat to adjust the temperature and help the "smart" thermostat to learn. Pretty useless.

I have seen better

The camera optic is not really the issue, but the service and firmware is abysmal. As a security system the ecobee solution is a complete waste of money. The cameras deliver false alarms when person detection or movement detection is turned on. The cell phone application usually gives you an error message that it cannot connect to any of my cameras when the alarm goes off. Great camera with features I wish I could turn off

Camera has wide field of view, great picture quality, and well built. The ecobee line including this camera has Spotify connect built in. It is very annoying and there is no way to turn it off, the thermostat is the same way. I don't know why someone would want to use such a small speaker to play music but almost every time I try to cast to a speaker I choose the camera or thermostat.
