Excellent camera 100%

It is excellent camera that can be set as security or baby monitor one. Connected with smart Ecobee thermostat, it is even getting better as you have all in one app, everything that you need, add on top sensors and it makes complete security and home monitoring system. 100% recommend it.

Camera is good, security service not so much

The camera quality is good. Remote PTZ (limited range but still present and useful) and high gain microphone are great features. The only downside is the security service attached to it. The motion sensitivity is too sensitive at “medium” and not sensitive enough at “low” and there’s no in between. But more disappointing is when there is a security alert, only pictures are recorded - not video. Video is only for live view.

Ecobee takes the place of almost all your other devices, works with Alexa, home kit, and keeps adding new features, No use for my old security cameras, this is Great!!

easy to install

The sensors are good. I'm waiting for them to roll out full support on the thermostat for smart security. I would really like to see monitoring by a third party or API to extend monitoring to a third part. Paying for self-monitoring I will probably not do.

This camera is terrible. Most times when I try to see my child in his crib, the camera says “offline” which means you can’t see or hear my baby. “Audio monitoring” doesn’t work for more than 5 minutes at a time and the sound is choppy, when it does work. I can’t communicate with my baby through the camera because it just doesn’t work when I press the mic button. Allan's review ecobee Smartcameras

Setup was a pain (using Android); it was discovered after a couple of weeks of attempts that the house wifi mesh was preventing connection of the cameras. Once that was solved, all was good. Many good features but a tutorial to walk through them would have been helpful. Also, would like to be able to access the cameras from my pc and not just on an app on my smartphone.

Maximizing The Value

The whole experience with ecobee has been more than I expected. I needed a smart heat pump thermometer to monitor and control the house temperature; on-site and remotely. The ease of installation and integration of the camera along with the entry sensors at the front and back doors of the house allows me to have an overall sense of security. Ecobee is Getting Better All the Time

I've had an EcoBee thermostat now for 4+ years, added room and door sensors and all works great. Initially early sensors were crap but new ones (bigger & better range) work much better. We also added door & window sensors. Now Ecobee & Generac merged and we monitor our generator from thermostat.

Awesome Camera!

Useless without subscription

Sensors are useless without the subscription to close the cooling so its has no use for me

It has so many modes. You can use it for just normal indoor, baby monitor, window mode for when you want to use it to see outside. It can zoom in and pan around, you can also talk through it and record clips of moment

Worthless outside of ecobee ecosystem

I got these as part of a bundle, but I failed to notice that all the reviews were for the thermostat and not the bundle. As a result, I thought everything in the bundle would work with SmartThings or Alexa, but these sensors do not. As a result, these are all but useless to me. Sure, I could still use these for the thermostat, but then I would need to add a second door sensor to work with SmartThings or Alexa to do automation routines. What a Smart Way to save and automate your home!

This smart thermostat ecobee product is a game changer. We have had our ups and downs with our previous thermostat but ecobee saved me from worrying a lot. The camera function is awesome. The sensors make sure that the house is warm or cold enough if the occupants are present. Sensors & Cameras are great but…

Sensors & Cameras are great quality much like the thermostats but… Your additional security items are expensive. Competitors offer similar features without the added cost. Some additional security features should be standard. If ecobee doesn’t change folks will stop buying your security sensors and cameras. Give customers better security features as a standard. Easy to use, quality equipment and great performance but poor marketing of additional security services.

Great addition to Ecobee system

Absolutely delivers on its promise. Love how it's not only used for HVAC, but also security with its occupancy sensor. Highly recommend this product and the subscription plan. The annual plan is very affordable given how it does 2 for 1 (HVAC and security). Get it in a bundle for a better value. Trust me when I say the more sensors the better, but don't go too crazy. Ecobee Smart Camera

After installing the camera I found the HomeKit integration was quick and easy. I have iCloud+ subscription and get the benefits of getting free storage for 10 days per cycle. The camera quality is eh but it works. Do recommend this product it but needs an app refresh.

Lags, inconsistent

I really wanted to rate this camera higher, but the lag is unbearable and recorded events spotty. Camera loading is inconsistent as well. Note, we have 0 issues with our wifi and this has been tested on multiple mobile devices and with tech support (they even admit to the delay!). We have security cameras from other competitors that load within seconds and record seamlessly, but that is not the case for the Ecobee camera. It’s great!

I had this for about 4 months and I love it. Every time I open a sliding door or windows the A/C or when the Heat is on. It will turn off so it saves me money. When I close those windows or sliding door it will turn back on.
