Would Not RecommendThe female end does not properly thread and fit any of the male parts I have lying around, including the most important one -- the male fitting on my hose reel. There's something wrong with the threading. No matter how hard I tried I could not get it to thread evenly on the male end. So I replaced a leaky hose with a leaky hose.

Would Not RecommendThe worm gear to secure the hose came incomplete. The bolt assembly needed to tighten the gear was obviously not attached during assembly, but it made it past QC and was shipped anyway (a correctly completed assembly on a different product can be seen on the right edge in the attached photo).

Would RecommendThis mender solved my dripping/spraying leak quickly and easily. The insert fits VERY tightly and requires quite a bit of twisting and pushing to be seated in the hose end. A bit of Vaseline probably would've helped. The resulting repair is neat and MUCH, MUCH better than the plastic mender it replaced. Brass menders and connectors are definitely the way to go!

Would RecommendAs with it's male counterpart, the worse part about this product is the cheap clamp that comes with it. Change it up to a wider, better quality one and I had no problems. beats throwing away an otherwise good hose and buying another one for much more than the price of this fitting and a better hose clamp.

Would RecommendI used this to repair an old hose that ripped off the water outlet. I used some WD-40 inside the hose and then crammed the hose over the barb. Assembly only too a few minutes and a several ugga-uggas.
