Would RecommendThe brass fitting is okay the washer Is acceptable but the hose clamp is not adequate stripped with very little effort. The clamp is way to thin and narrow for the 5/8 dia hose. Ended up replacing with heavy duty automotive style. I would recommend but only if you buy a separate hose clamp

Would RecommendNeeds a wider hose clamp the one it comes with is only a 1/4 inch wide so water will blow by swap clamp out for a 1/2 inch wide and it works fine.

Leaks around fitting
Would Not RecommendMy garden hose developed a hole near the end so I needed a quick fix and thought this would do the trick. After cutting the bad spot out of the hose, this installed very easily. However, even after tightening and re-tightening there is still water leaking from the barbed area of the fitting. I even used a socket and ratchet to tighten the clamp. Not a great design but for $3, what do you expect?
