It was a bit intimidating though baiting it and pulling the trigger wire back and trying to position it properly in the mechanism. Unless you get it just right in the grove it won't work . Also if the trap is accidentally triggered while putting it down in place you risk it slamming shut on your fingers. It could easily break a finger with the size that it is. Perhaps...

Does not set very well
Would Not RecommendI bought 2 of these at Lowes. one would not set at all. the locking mechanism to set trap wouldn't keep hammer set in place. the second kept hammer down as long as I didn't touch trap at all. I needed to place it near water heater and I couldn't set the trap with out it going off if I looked at it too hard. Will return and buy something else. Have never had issue with other brand. Very irritated.

He has several buildings, in the largest he stores old cars. We set the Tomcat Trap and in less than two weeks we caught 6 rats. He was surprised with the infestation.

This size trap will kill mice, rats and the occasional Chipmunk which to me is the cute cousin of a rat. It can be re-used several times which adds value. Big enough
