Poor instructions

The instructions are very hard to follow. It would be nice if there were a youtube video for this trap. Couldn't find one.

Impossibly hard to set. Not made as shown here.

First of all, whip out a calendar and see what year it is. (hint: 2025). Your level of instructions is more like 1925. Get a good camera! Make a video! Share a link! I think it comes down to the fact that the "Pin" is made wrong. It has a loop that is held by a staple. The other end, the free end, has a "curve". I would call it a zigzag. Not meet the expectation

i bought 6 of these trap. Caught 1 little mice. that’s it. These traps do not work. I set 6 traps. All with cheese The next morning 5 of baits were completely gone and neither trap was sprung. Tried again the next night. Same results. Very disappointed. The old ones worked much better.

Better odds of losing a finger than catching a rat. Take the brand name and simply invest in freeing cats. They do the best job. No finger traps or poison necessary

Garbage Trap- Do not Buy

Just tried to set it up and found out the the one metal part is punched backwards. Tried to bend it the proper way. Pull back the U Wire to set the pin over it and the pin bends. This is absolute garbage. I tried it 10 times, broke my finger.

Don’t waste your money on this junk

I bought 2 rat traps both are junk can’t set them they need adjustment and no where can I find instructions pretty bid waste of my hard earned dollars

Three-pete staple problem

Purchased many in the past and all work well. Bought 2 back to back and both traps had the right side brass staple pulled out of the wood base. Just bought another one and hope it’s not a three-pete..

Terrible

Could not set the trap. We have set many traps, something is wrong with this one. Should not have to modify it.

Tomcat Rat trap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tomcat Rat trap is a well made product. I use this trap on the boarder of my home because our neighbors have fruit trees and end up on the ground and rodents appear at times. It is very easy to use and I would recommend this product.

Good trap - bad instructions

It works well *if you set the trap correctly*. Their instructions are not clear. What you need to do on step 2 is *not* put the bent rod through the oblong hole (which is what I did at first- if you do that then the trap won’t ever trip and catch anything) but rather just set the end of the bent rod under the bent part of the oblong hole, parallel to the hole. Then the trap will go off when it’s supposed to.

Trap does not work

I followed the instructions and the trap will not release. rodent eats the bait and the trap remains set as directed. Design and setting is completely different from the smaller mouse trap that works.

Kinda works

I put this out but did not use the recommended peanut butter or gel. I heard from an exterminator to use raw bacon rapped around the trigger. The first night I caught a rat, a Baltimore rat. Our rats here are quite large so while it injured the rat, it did not immediately kill it. This rat has been suffering for hours. I bought this so it would be an immediate kill.

Save your money

The guy who bends the trip mechanism needs to be given more time on the conveyor belt.

Poor quality Rat Trap

This is one of the poorest made products I have ever bought. The pieces did not fit. Iwork over an hour with my tools to fix it. I finlly gave up. You should be ashamed to sell such a poor quality product.

Frustrating!

On the occasions that the traps actually sprung, they were strong enough for a quick kill. BUT, only two of ten actually sprung in the first set, and that has stayed fairly consistent average with subsequent sets. I toss the trap and rat in the garbage if it works and replace with new trap. My problem has been a consistent issue with the trap not being triggered. Careful not to snap your hand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These traps are definitely effective IF set carefully and properly. Have caught 7 mice with this and keeping it catch ready for more. Setting these traps are really fairly simple but must be put what your children and pets cannot get to them.

Look similar to the Victor Traps but don’t work

I bought 6 of these traps as they look pretty sturdy. These just don’t catch anything. They’re very hard to set off. I’ve noticed peanut butter will be gone and nothing caught. You can add a little or a lot and nothing is caught. Fact is that these traps don’t work well.

Impossible to Use

Impossible to use as directed. Directions are also impossible to understand and the photos are too small. Potentially dangerous because of how hard it is to set the trap.

Rats were able to take bait , trap didn’t activate

I bought a couple of these and they’re worthless, all 4 times I tried it, the peanut butter was LICKED CLEAN and the trap did not activate! Victor is much better and much more sensitive, Tom cat plastic snap traps are much better , avoid tomcats wooden trap, they don’t work
