My first review was shortly after the purchase and installation. This unit was purchased to replace a 15 year old topload. Purchased 9/2013 and the cheaply made spider has corroded and the washer will NOT spin balanced and spin out water from clothes. Gets the job done!

This machine is a beast. I used to have a top loader, I will never go back. We've had it for a few months and immediately saw a reduction in my water bill. It is so quiet I forget that I'm washing clothes at all.

Samsung 4.2-cu ft Washer

I love the washer and would have given it 5 stars except for one thing. If you don't use it almost every day it tends to get a musty, mildew smell inside the drum. I have found that if you leave the door just slightly open so air can circulate within this problem is eliminated. I use a folded wash cloth to hold the door slightly open.

This will be my first & last purchase from Lowe’s

I bought a washer today June 1st, the techs who can over to my house turned off our main water supply and didn’t even test the washer before they left to make sure everything worked nor turn the main water supply back on. Not only has my entire family not been able to shower at our own home for about a day now but Lowe’s had the audacity to say they can only send someone out here on Monday. good washer

I brought this washer and dryer but after 3 visits from Lowe's delivery I ended up with a washer almost like it. I dont know what the difference is except the silver door? I love the self cleaning feature and reminder. my 15 year old even does his laundry and loves the machine. had it a year with no issues. didn't feel like anymore about the doors not maching

Perfect for an apartment

Definately worth the extra cost over an all in one. It has more than double the capacity, yet only 3 inches wider

Washing machine doesn't last long

We have this now for approximately 4 years. It worked well for first 3 years. It then started staining clothes lightly. With time the stains became worse. I have replaced 2 months ago the door boot (seal)which was moldy, it costed $110 and an hour of work. It still stained the clothing. I then saw that the back side of the drum is filthy and most likely the source of the stains. I ran a few cycles of self clean but the back side of the drum remains dirty and it's impossible to clean. I have no c...

Good basic front-loader.

This Samsung is a good, basic, front loader that is replacing our previous Samsung that lasted 8.5 years. Hopefully this one lasts as long, if not longer. Lowes delivery was great in getting the old unit out, and gently installing the new unit up a flight of stairs. This model does not have a steam cycle like our previous washer did, but we seldom used it anyway.

Barely know it

I barely have this machine what a month and you are asking for a review even before that. How should I know how well this machine is yet? I think a more reasonable time would be like after 6 months. For the time that I have the washer it works great. Took a little time to get used to with how it works. Our clothes are really clean and smell great. Just got it but very large capacity and super quiet. Easy settings and better spin than my old washer

Lasted nine years

Bought the earlier model of this front-load stackable Samsung washer. After nine years of use it finally broke down (bearings gave out). Repairman said it is cheaper to replace than to repair so that is what we are doing so we are going with this model. The matching dryer we bought with the unit nine years ago is still going strong.

Happy customer

This is our second Samsung front loading machine. We bought this to replace the first one that was worked hard for the last 12 years with no issues. This one fit right on the stand from the original machine which was a major plus.
