I bought this today and took it home. As soon as I took it out of the box I found that the door wouldn't open. They have put and child proof latch on their product that makes you press two buttons to open the door. I boxed it back up and took it back. Got a Panasonic that also has a child proof door but you can disable it if you want.

This is our second LG and the company improved on the ringing tone to be softer. The push button is still tricky, because our last one broke and had to tape it. But the main part started to crackle after 6 plus years; so it had to be replaced. We decided to stick with LG, because it was easy to understand & easy to use. The only drawback is if the company could work on the panel so we can see it better. If the panel would be in a lighter backdrop and the numbers light up it would really help wit...

LG TV's YES!!! NOT microwaves!!!
Was hoping this microwave would be the one I'd never want to replace or need to for a long period of time. Bought this 6 years ago and within 3 years the digits started to stop lighting up so the numbers are hard to read when it's on. Tried the unplug and plug in to reset and nothing, it is obviously the keypad/motherboard. It says 10 year warranty right on the door, but apparently that means nothing. I will now be looking at purchasing another brand and hoping for the best!!

Door latch defective
This is our third lg 2.0 countertop microwave and on every one the door latch has broken. We have the trim kit and have been locked in to using this size and model. The third oven now has a non working door latch. There is no repair, only replace.
