I liked the design and how easy it was to use, but just 11 months after purchase, this microwave stopped heating. I was expecting to get five years of use! I've had other LG appliances that have done well, but I cannot recommend the LG microwave.

Good purchase, but with a warning

We previously had a KitchenAid (essentially a Whirlpool) oven that had problems, so we switched to this LG version. It does everything that we need. It does not have as many pre-programmed settings as some others, but we do not need those. Ours is installed in a cabinet with a trim kit and risers that makes it look like a built-in oven. volume not loud enugh

Product does the primary function, microwave food. The bell or tones to indicate finish is very faint and should be louder. There is no indication in owners manual on how to adjust the volume, making the timer function pretty much useless.

best bang for your buck

it is quite large capacity , i like the auto slide control a little better on the previous model but this one is classic digital time to cook, etc, it is a powerful machine that cooks twice a fast as the food instructions usually say, and has sensor cook presets already built in so popcorn ends up being perfect, and unthawing frozen meat is not a problem. this unit has the child safe latch but it can be bypassed quick without any tools. excellent machine for the cost i paid .

Powerful and sharp looking

Performs well. The 1200 watt is a little more powerful than my previous 1100 and took a little getting used to. I really like the sharp look of the black glass design that makes up nearly all the door and controls. The only downside is it shows fingerprints and needs wiping clean a lot. The double-motion door latch was easy to switch to single-motion. Great oven but needs some refining.

Great oven, easy to clean and power output is great. It is so quiet when it runs. The inverter technology really makes a difference too. But the interior is dimly lit. Maybe another row of LED's would help. Also, the front panel is so dark, difficult to see the keypad unless all the kitchen lights are full on. Also, the tones are just too quiet. Love the ease of use and wish the interior was white, rather than the dark gray.
