What Customers Are Saying
This tile cutter offers a smooth scoring and snapping action that allows for clean, precise cuts on both ceramic and porcelain tiles. The large cutting surface and extending arms make it suitable for handling oversized tiles up to 36 inches. However, some users noted that the accessory fences felt a bit flimsy, especially for larger tiles. Additionally, the scoring wheel can dull quickly when used on very hard porcelain tiles, so having spare wheels on hand is advised.

Would Not RecommendDo NOT use this for cutting 24” tiles longways. They shatter every time. Waste of money.
Watch the how to video
Would RecommendWe have 29" square tiles, so we got this to supplement the cuts with our wet saw and angle grinder. The first cut through our large tile went so clean and easy I was shocked! The next two shattered each tile with wonky cuts and I was so frustrated since I couldn't find instructions, so I looked up a video and the main tips I found: -score ONCE with moderate pressure -make sure your score goes over each edge -snap only at the end of the tile (not the center) -youll notice the end of the cutter a...
Does the job when you figure it out
Would RecommendI have a smaller one but needed one to cut 12" tiles diagonally. I had read in other reviews that it came with no instructions and that is true. Was having issues on how to figure out how the slide rule was set up and my diagonally cut were not pretty. Went on line and did a search and found the manual for it. Why it doesn't come in the box I don't know. But after downloading and reading it, I got it set up correctly and made perfect diagonally cuts.
Didn't work for me
Would Not RecommendI bought this after good reviews. I tried to cut porcelain tile 12 X 24. My hope was to creat 6 x 12. The score cuts were jagged and the snap was wavy. I returned it. I'll end up with a box of tile I can't use, and the others will go back. Disappointing as I liked the tile but need it in a smaller size. I think it would work better with a smaller size tile, but then you could by the smaller size cutter.
Worked li my e a charm!
Would RecommendEasy to use!
No matter how many times you scribe the tile it keeps breaking off corners when you break it
Solid buy
Would RecommendThe unit is well built. A solid design nicely executed. The scoring wheel is easily replaceable, and the part number is printed on the foam padding on the base. I must emphasize that if you use this for porcelain tile, which is freaking hard, the scoring wheel will dull out quickly. A dull scoring wheel is a bad thing on a two-foot-long score and break! Have spares on hand. The only knock I'm going to include in this review is against my local Lowe's store because they had three of these cu...
Very smooth cutting. Did exactly what I needed it to do.

Great for big tiles
Would RecommendThe only thing I would change on this awesome cutter is having the resting arms moveable up and down the sides and not screwed to the middle. This will allow smaller/ shorter tiles to rest on the arms if they can be pulled higher on the sides.
Good tile cutter, great for large format tile.
Would RecommendThis cutter works very well and is easy to use. You do have to get used to hire it feels to cut the tile. This is great for large format tile and only straight cuts. It is fast and easy with little mess. You have to be cutting over 1/4" for it to function well. Brittle tile like porcelain should be scored a couple times before you snap it for a clean break line.
Got clean, straight cuts first time I used it.
Would RecommendCut 24" x 24", 1/2" thick porcelain tile to depth for a bath countertop. It made straight cuts and clean breaks. I did have to score twice, as was suggested by another reviewer. This was the first time I used it, and the first time I ever used a snap cutter. I am very happy with the results.
Garbage
Would Not RecommendThis didn’t even last 20 tiles. This will not cut a tile. Damaged the last 5 tiles trying to cut them.
Well built tile cutter
Would RecommendVery well designed and well built dry cut tile cutter. Can handle a 24in tile diagonally! Very smooth sliding and cuts super straight! Can't wait to use it to do a complete remodeling on our bathroom soon!!
Clean cuttin' Tile Cutter
Would RecommendMy first time using a rail cutter instead of a wet saw so was a bit of a learning curve. After a few trial (wasted) cuts learned my way around the cutter quite well... except for how to attach the "protractor." You will notice a single photo of the "protractor" after I was all done. Neat how it attaches and works to keep your angle cuts at the correct angle - just wish that Kobalt (Lowe's?) would see it to include an instruction book in the box. There are imprinted instructions on the top of the...
