What Customers Are Saying

This tile cutter offers a smooth scoring and snapping action that allows for clean, precise cuts on both ceramic and porcelain tiles. The large cutting surface and extending arms make it suitable for handling oversized tiles up to 36 inches. However, some users noted that the accessory fences felt a bit flimsy, especially for larger tiles. Additionally, the scoring wheel can dull quickly when used on very hard porcelain tiles, so having spare wheels on hand is advised.

Scoring wheel not centered

Would Not Recommend

I had high hopes for the Kobalt 24" tile cutter but just returned one. I have two criticisms for the tool I purchased the main one being the scoring wheel was offset from center making it almost impossible to get a clean cut/break. Lost several tile trying. The other thing I did not like was the raised bar for breaking tile once scored was only about 4 inches long, whereas other tile cutters I have used the bar is full length or almost. If Kobalt improves these things I will buy another but ...

Poor quality control: offset cutting wheel

Would Not Recommend

I had high hopes for this cutter, but I quickly noticed that the cutting wheel that scores the tile was offset at least 1/16" from the underlying metal bar that is used to snap the tile after it's scored! No wonder there's so many reviews that say the tile chipped or broke unevenly or at the wrong location. It still works if you remember to move every tile over slightly after scoring it, but that adds extra time to every cut.

The last time my husband and I tiled, we used a wet saw. But after reading about this, I thought we would give it a try. We are putting in the 12X24 inch porcelain tile and wow, did this make it easy for us. No water, no real mess. We were able to cut all the pieces inside, where we were working. We watched a how to on Youtube, then did a couple of practice cuts to get the pressure right. My first cut was perfect. My husband was too forceful on his first cut so he had to back off. It takes a lig...

Works great

I like the time it saves. There’s a learning curve just practice on scraps first. Clean after each cut. I only wish there was a way to get a new bridge, the 4,inch piece at the top of the piece.

Easy, but not perfect.

I am upgrading a bathroom countertop by replacing the original Formica with 12 x 24 inch porcelain tile. The scoring wheel produces a straight edge on the tile surface, but not necessarily all the way through the 3/8 inch - which means the snapped edge often requires a good deal of shaping using a coarse stone hand block, file, rotary sander, or grinder - especially with narrow grout spacing. Be prepared to do this.

I've used this in about 2 dozen tile jobs

I liked this over Rubi and would buy again if need be. Cutters can be finicky and each tile as well, once you get used to it, it will serve you well. Best cutter for the price, next upgrade would be above $600 and it may not be worth it as this performs pretty well.
