What Customers Are Saying
This tile cutter offers a smooth scoring and snapping action that allows for clean, precise cuts on both ceramic and porcelain tiles. The large cutting surface and extending arms make it suitable for handling oversized tiles up to 36 inches. However, some users noted that the accessory fences felt a bit flimsy, especially for larger tiles. Additionally, the scoring wheel can dull quickly when used on very hard porcelain tiles, so having spare wheels on hand is advised.

Would Not RecommendTrying to cut 1" the length of 24" porcelain wood-look porcelain. Destroyed 6 trying.
Does not work on long side of 24 inch tile
Would Not RecommendCut short side of 24" x 12" tile but did chip corners of 3 out of 4 tiles. Will not work when cutting long side of tile. Tile broke in the middle across the width every time vs. lengthwise. Twice before I even finished the cut. No where near the actual cut I was making. Arms to support tile are not enough when cutting length wise. Needs to be an actual table not an arm. Waste of money. My last Kobalt purchase.
Don’t skimp on a cheaper cutter
Would RecommendDon’t skimp on a cheaper cutter this is the one for large format ceramic or porcelain
Fabulous
Would RecommendI'm doing my shower and selected 12 x 24 ceramic tiles for the job. I've tried to cut my tiles with a brand new wet saw and there was no way to avoid chipping. Bought this tool instead and it snaps beautiful 24" lines with no chipping at all! So happy!!
Works great
Very easy to use for 36 inch tile. Great cuts length wise
don't use it's break feature
Would RecommendPerfect for scoring porcelain but the built in breaker feature often broke the tile away from the score. Just set the scored tile across two board and step on the scored mark. That worked every time.
Absolutely garbage
Would Not RecommendI wanted a larger cutter some nice my old sentinel pro only did 20. Now maybe I got a bad one but this was absolutely trash. I wasted a full box of tiles and a bag of mortar was skating while I made my cuts. No matter what ai did it kept chipping the tile in chunks. Pulled out my old sentinel no problem. Cost me $100 worth of material. Customer service guy didn't care just said ai shouldn't buy kobalt tools. Lol that's a great statement from a car.
Light touch is key
Would RecommendI bought this cutter for tiling the surround for my tub. It's freezing outside so I didn't want to use the wet saw and thought this would be a good option. The cutter worked great. I did notice right away that I got sharper cuts when I used a light touch. You would think that you would need to press with some effort when you score the tile, but I found when I just lightly scored it would snap much cleaner. Also, never score it twice. Made quick work of my project.
A Solid Investment, well constructed
Would RecommendPreviously I purchased a tile cutter for about a third of the price. Every tile I tried to cut broke, so I decided to give Kobalt a try (Kobalt has never disappointed me). It works great. Two to three light scores and light pressure for the clean cut. This tool will last me my remaining working years. Refreshing to buy something of quality.
Not for large format
Would Not RecommendCuts small okay but not large format, breaks tile unevenly
