What Customers Are Saying
This tile cutter offers a smooth scoring and snapping action that allows for clean, precise cuts on both ceramic and porcelain tiles. The large cutting surface and extending arms make it suitable for handling oversized tiles up to 36 inches. However, some users noted that the accessory fences felt a bit flimsy, especially for larger tiles. Additionally, the scoring wheel can dull quickly when used on very hard porcelain tiles, so having spare wheels on hand is advised.

Would RecommendThis tile cutter is capable of snap cutting large format tile as well as small 4x4 tiles. The operation is smooth and the carbide wheel and snap leg are very overpowered for smaller tile due to lots of leverage. The leverage is so great that you must be very careful to not over press while scoring your tiles or it won’t give a good clean cut. I have not used it on the large format tiles as of yet but on standard sized tiles it has performed flawlessly, at least on ceramic tiles. I have not tried...
Clean cuts and easy to use
Would RecommendThis Cobalyt tail tile cutter is nice, heavy duty. It makes clean cuts and is simple to use. It includes many great features- an easily changeable cutter , a set of tile support legs- one each side, and a lock for the slide. The large hande gives a positive grip and excellent leverage making it easy to get pressure for deep cuts into the tile. Fast and easy to use, and unlike a towel so it doesn’t require any water hook ups or electricity. Great for fast work and easy set up! I’ve owned several ...
Giant tile cutter
Would Recommendthis is one big tile cutter. I've cut some a number of sizes from 3" backsplash tiles to 2' floor tiles. I know it can go bigger if needed, but that is the max I personally have cut with it. It is pretty versatile in that regard. I haven't noticed any issues or had any problems. It is a bit heavy (as you would expect) and won't shift around on you. I do appreciate the locking switch on the top of it so it doesn't slide when moving it.
Makes tile cutting a breeze
Would RecommendI am not a pro-tile man. But I have been doing 24 inch tile in my basement. My father in law is a union tile guy, so he has been helping me along. Anyway, I got this tile cutter and WOW was that a game changer. So easy to use and super effective. It scores the top of the time and then you push down and the tile breaks in two. Good quality, heavy duty and all around awesome. If you are planning on using 24 inch tiles this is a must have.
Tile Saw
Would RecommendGreat tile saw. My 11 year old son even cut tiles for the job. Score it about 4 times and then snap it. Well worth the money. Nice direction are even stamped on the saw for easy reminder. Came with extra blad and parts to set tile on diamond shape.
Provides such a good cut
Would RecommendThis cutter is so much lighter than what I am used to. It also packs up very nicely so it won't take up a lot of space. The long handle allowed for a lot of leverage and it scores really smoothly.
Kobalt tile xutter
Would RecommendDidn't need to install any tile right now, as we just bought our house. Finally made it to Lowe's to buy a scrap piece of tile to make some practice cuts. The Kobalt tile cutter was very user-friendly. I was able to cut a 12 x 12 tile into several smaller sizes and different shapes with easy and no mess. Looking forward to coming up with a project to install tile, just to use it.
Perfect Size, Easy Cuts and Easy to Use
Would RecommendThis Tile Cutter Accommodates 24" Tile making it easy when you are laying the larger tile in showers and bathrooms. It has an angle guide to help when cutting angles needed for corners and etc. It also comes with two adjustable support so larger tiles stay flat when cutting. The double rails make cutting easy and typically it only takes one time scoring to make a cut although I prefer two scores. The entire cutter is lightweight and very easy to use. It did not come with instructions which woul...
Great Kobalt cutter
Would RecommendMy first impressions of this cutter it is very heavy duty and should be very versatile and cutting all different directions and all sizes of tile. Is is quite large and heavy but very mobile and doesn’t take up very much space. It has arms that extend in order to cut long and oversize pieces. It should make any job very easy and less complicated when it comes to cutting special angles.
Kobalt 36-in Rail Cutter
Would RecommendKobalt 36-in Rail Cutter I received my 36-in Rail Cutter and have been using it for the last three days. It cuts ceramic and porcelain tile and It is lightweight and easy to carry. I have set a lot of tile and this Rail cutter is the best I have ever used. it scores, and snaps ceramic and hard porcelain tiles. It is cleaner and faster than my wet saw and so easy and safe to use. So far I have used it to cut and set my bathroom tile. It is a bit bigger than I'm used to but I really like it. Nic...
Another great Kobalt tool!
Would RecommendI am not a professional tiler, but I have renovated many rental properties and have done a lot of tiling over the years. I have a large prosumer 10" tile saw that I have used quite a bit, along with renting similar tile cutters to this. After using it in a house I am renovating for an afternoon cutting porcelain tile, I was able to cut a lot of tile quickly. The cutting action seemed very smooth and precise with the ball-bearing carriage. I found my tiles scored and broke more precisely than ...
What a beast
Would RecommendI wanted a good cutter and this fit the bill. It is longer than I thought. Super easy to use. I like the tile support on the sides. I also like the attachment for the angle, it works well. I can't wait to use it on larger tiles. So overall it works well for my needs
What a cutter
Would RecommendI have to first of all say what a nice product, I mean when I pulled this kobalt 24” tile cutter out of the box it showed what a beefy machine it was , I loved the build, the great quality, the colors and the craftsmanship. I tried putting a tile bench on my outside deck and used this kobalt tile cutter with a 24” tile, it was very easy to use and cut my tile with no issues, it scored well and broke apart like it should have, I even tried a angled cut with the use of the extension bars on the un...
Kobalt tile cutter
Would RecommendThis tile cutter is very easy to use with very little mess making straight cuts easily. The 36 inch cutter makes it possible to cut some of the larger pieces of tile without having water spraying all over the place the cutter wheel cuts with ease making cuts effortless i would recommend this cutter to anyone installing tile
A Very Nice Tile Cutter by Kobalt
Would RecommendThe Kobalt 36 inch tile cutter is very well made. It makes very nice straight cuts. I would recommend buying a few extra tiles to cut before you start your project so as to familiarize yourself with how it operates with the tiles you chose. Practice will save you time and head ache later. Like I said earlier this is a very well made tile cutter. I will get many years of use out of it.
Cuts small tile less than 15" easily
Would RecommendI've found the Kobalt 24" Tile Cutter makes it easier to complete my bathroom and kitchen tile jobs and a lot less cumbersome than it would be using a saw. It scores the tile easily; especially smaller pieces from 15" to the smaller cuts required for those tight jobs around the toilet rough and other tight spots
Designed and built great
Would RecommendThis piece of equipment is built to last, steel and cast aluminum which explains why it has a 3 year warranty. This tile cutter is designed to cut up to 24" tiles 1/2" thick, replacement blades are available from Lowes in fact the SKU # is imprinted on the pad of the cutter, I think I will rewrite this number under the cutter with a sharpie. The tile cutter is designed to allow for repeatable cuts and excellent support of the tile being cut. The cutter is able to be folded down into a compact f...
Kobalt Makes Good Products For The Money
Would RecommendIn our home over the last few years I've done a ton of projects, including the complete remodel of the Master and Children's bathrooms. Tiling is a bit much for DIY, but with time and patience it certainly can be done. I highly encourage the DIY'er to study up a lot, especially if you are doing areas that are exposed frequently to water like showers and tubs. I have the 20" Kobalt model and now the 30" rail cutter. You need to think about what your projects will be. If you will be getting ...
Smoooooooooooth!
Would RecommendI've always been reluctant to use one of these things, and until now I've cut all my tile with a wet tile saw. From now on this is my tile cutter. The saw is good for small pieces and inside corners, but the tile cutter is so much faster that it wouldn't make sense to use the saw for a project of any significant scope. The tungsten carbide cutting wheel is large enough to glide smoothly over porcelain tile, and the handle supplies enough leverage to make the break with ease. For me, having cu...
Great product
Would RecommendKobalt does it again! This is a lightweight product that will make the tile project in my bathroom so much easier. The old one (different brand) rusted out after a couple years, but this one I can tell will last!
