What Customers Are Saying
This tile cutter offers a smooth scoring and snapping action that allows for clean, precise cuts on both ceramic and porcelain tiles. The large cutting surface and extending arms make it suitable for handling oversized tiles up to 36 inches. However, some users noted that the accessory fences felt a bit flimsy, especially for larger tiles. Additionally, the scoring wheel can dull quickly when used on very hard porcelain tiles, so having spare wheels on hand is advised.

...at least the one I have. This is a must have for tile work. Let's start off by saying I have an entry level wet saw. I've only done tile work in my home and I'm not a professional. I'm redoing the bathroom with 12x24 tile and this is coming in clutch. I got this halfway thru the project after looking into it a little more and now wished I had gotten it from the beginning. I'm still using the wet saw for square cuts. This is my first time using it and it's very straight forward!
wet saw is the way to go or a higher priced snap
Would Recommendbought this tile cutter to snap 24" porcelain tile had quite a number of broken corners

Get some thing else for large tiles.
It keeps chipping 2 ft long porcelain tile at the very end. Pretty much useless, except for cutting small subway tiles.
Works well
Would RecommendThis works well. I had to cut a textured ceramic tile and I was afraid this wasn't going to work well, but it cuts well, makes clean lines, and is a lot more convenient than a water stone.
Works great.
Would RecommendI did a fair amount of research on large tile cutters as I'm prepping to lay a bunch of 6x36 tile in my basement. This 36 inch tile cutter was the only one I could find of this size in stock locally, and the reviews appeared to be good. There are three Lowe's stores in the larger metro area I live in, and I had to visit all three to find one of these 36 inch tile cutters than obviously wasn't an open box. Two layers of tape and rough looking box ends on all but one of the cutters I could find ...
Incredible! Works on 12x24 Porcelain!
This snap cutter works incredibly. I get clean cuts about 80% of the time on porcelain tiles. I was worried because some of the reviews mentioned issues with porcelain, but i have had no issues using a number of different porcelain tiles of different sizes. Highly reccomended! Saves tons of time over using a wet saw for every cut!
Be careful.
Would RecommendIt is really easy to operate and control. Practice with a few pieces.
Go for it
Would RecommendCuts smoothly. I was worried that the large format tile I bought (32") would be prone to breaking unevenly but this thing scored it perfectly, even with a slight pebbly texture on tile. Much easier than a wet-saw. I actually cut glass for a living which is very similar and found this very solid and controlled in cutting and breaking. Worth it despite the price tag. Only trouble was mine was missing one of the 3 knob/screws that were supposed to be in the bag for the jig.
Dont waste your money
Would Not RecommendBought this with high hopes. Didnt want to spend the money on a wet saw but after trying it and breaking more tiles than i liked i returned it. Went elsewhere and purchased a wet saw for about $20 more than this.
This thing is great
Would RecommendWhen my old cutter turned out too short for new large porcelain tiles I had to take a chance on a random pick. This one turned out to be terrific. It actually cuts too easily! The cutting wheel just laying on the tile, I pushed it to the top getting ready to score. Well, it scored on the push and the tile split perfectly with little more pressure than the weight of the very smooth traveling handle. Way too easy compared to my old cutter. This is great, worth every penny.
