The first thing I noticed was the built in guide that shows where to line up your tile for the score was NOT accurate. It was off by about 1/8". I had to take a piece of tape and mark the correct score position and put over the original one. Great tile cutter

Minus 1 star for missing 1 adjustment knob and lack of instructions. Box didn’t seem to have been opened, but these items weren’t inside. However, it cuts tile fantastically. I’ve been using a cheap tile saw that cuts slowly. This thing lets me cut straight lines in a minute. Doesn’t do everything: can’t trim 1/2” of a tile, can’t cut out a section for AC vent, etc., but I think that’s just the nature of any tile cutter like this. Good Value - Usable But Finnicky

This is a good snap cutter for the money but it can be tricky to get cuts perfect. But with a little bit of persistence I was able to get cuts down to even 3/4 of an inch wide. There are a few key tricks I found to get it right: 1. Forget the built-in guide. Just use a tape measure from the edge of the tile to the center of the cutter to get squared up. 2. What a join to use!

I started with the Project Source cutter. Barely put a scratch into my 9x9x3/8 inch ceramic tile. I only need to cut five, but I ruined two before admitting that it was impossible. Too flimsy for 24" porcelain floor tile

I had trouble cutting 24" porcelain floor tile with this tile cutter. The metal rails that support the scorer/blade/handle would bend upward when trying to snap the tile, at the precise time/place you need it to remain rigid to snap the tile quickly and with maximum force. I ended up returning it, as I broke more tiles than I cut and could use.

Kobalt Makes Good Products For The Money

In our home over the last few years I've done a ton of projects, including the complete remodel of the Master and Children's bathrooms. Tiling is a bit much for DIY, but with time and patience it certainly can be done. I am not a professional tiler, but I have renovated many rental properties and have done a lot of tiling over the years. I have a large prosumer 10" tile saw that I have used quite a bit, along with renting similar tile cutters to this. After using it in a house I am renovating for an afternoon cutting porcelain tile, I was able to cut a lot of tile quickly. I did a fair amount of research on large tile cutters as I'm prepping to lay a bunch of 6x36 tile in my basement. This 36 inch tile cutter was the only one I could find of this size in stock locally, and the reviews appeared to be good. There are three Lowe's stores in the larger metro area I live in, and I had to visit all three to find one of these 36 inch tile cutters than obviously wasn't an open box. Great tool

For the price this tool works great. I damaged the first piece, after that I cut no less than 500 tiles. Rips, crosscuts etc. all perfect. I was skeptical at this price point but this was one of the best tool purchases I have made. Not a tile guy but have been a tradesman for over 50 years and I would recommend this anyone.

Breaks more tiles cuts

Terribly designed tile cutter, especially for 24” tile. The tiles never break where the score mark is, extremely disappointed with this cutter. Would give zero stars if I could.
