Great and super sturdy product

I got this to vent out for my microwave and it is super sturdy and very easy to install and clamp with duct pipes.

Watch the damper, mine needed help

The metal hood, pipe, and overall exterior design is the best of anything at Lowes or other do it yourself stores. However the damper is very thin, mine was warped, and the sides of the housing that holds the damper were not straight. This all contributed to a damper that maybe sealed 3/4 of the pipe. Best Vent hood I've ever found!

Found on line in a desperate search for a through the wall range hood exhaust fan. This is the best I have ever seen for the design, easy installation,& appearance. It has insulation on the flapper to keep out cold & heat. Also, is designed as to keep the flapper closed except when the fan is on for exhaust. It has a wire screen at the down spout/exhaust to keep out birds, etc. The exterior is painted off white. I ordered the 6" version but they come in 4" & several other sizes as well.Thanks,...

Works for snoring

Had a cousin living with us for a few weeks - their snoring was out of this world. I piped this in their exterior bedroom wall hooked up with 2 twin turbo exhaust fans - boom did the trick. ... It might have been the jet like sounds running through our house but I don't know.

Great if 6-inch exhaust is needed!

This hood seems to be sturdy and well made. It was relatively easy to install as well: drill a 6" hole, slide it through the opening, install 4 screws, and caulk around it. The down side is that it has a fairly large footprint, but if you need a 6" exhaust outlet, this is the price you pay. Also, the price is a bit on the higher end compared to 4" exhaust vents. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the final result.

Exhaust/Vent

Our home uses electric Black and Decker AC and heaters. They are supposed to vent out a window but come with cheap plastic window sliders that do not prevent outside air in as they are poorly insulated, as well as preventing use of windows. 6" vent hood

I wanted to duct my indoor A/C unit instead of using the window adapter. This is larger than needed but Lowes only had this and 4". A galvanized reducer should work. Seems well made.

Built to Last

Best built option - will last longer than those plastic type. Had to paint it, but it was worth it.

Was the wrong size for my house, but very well made. All steel pieces.
