Would RecommendNeeded for a complete kitchen redo. Decent vents are not that readily available. I bought one on line that was a waste of money. Came across this one, sold at Lowe's. My GC installed it. He was immediately impressed with the overall structure- galvanized steel. Damper is great. Closes tightly when rangehood is turned off. It is sealed as well. Would RecommendThis product seems to be an adequate vent hood. it was fairly easy to install and required no specialized tools. Time will tell whether or not the galvanized process protects it from rusting or not.

Would RecommendNice & sturdy. Used it to vent my portable air conditioner thru the wall of the garage. Tail piece is 6" in diameter & 10.5" long.

This vent was long enough to make it through my exterior brick wall. It was also easy to use. I liked how the parts fit together for easy installation. If I need to buy another vent in my next house this is the one I'll buy.

Would RecommendAll metal construction and a painted outer cover are definite pluses. So is the metal screen on the cover to keep birds out. Vent does have an exhaust flap as well, so it is closed when no air is flowing. I used it to connect a portable A/C unit and it worked fine.

Would RecommendThis one is so much better than the other light gauge flimsy wall vents sold at the big box stores. The tube extends long enough through the wall to connect to your ductwork (others were way too short). The flap is inclined to allow gravity to keep it shut (no annoying spring that may break in the future).
