The GP17500E is an excellent value.

This unit has more features than I expected ie: winter carb heating and an excellent variety of electrical connections that suit any purpose. I will be using it for a solar power system back-up. I have previously purchased a standby Generac (16kw) for our home and have been more than satisfied with it as well.

Great value

Just purchased my first Generac, very happy with the quality. Loose power in our area, most people in our area have the automatic standby units with great reliability. We're selling soon so we went with the large portable one.

Unbelievable performance and reliability!

I've owned this generator since April 2013 and have used it to its limits with zero issues and 100% satisfaction on my part. High Quality Generator

Very impressed with the generator when it arrived. Was even more impressed when I unpacked, assembled, and fired it up. Runs like a charm. I will meet my needs 100% with ease. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing. :)

Nice option for home backup

Have infrequent outages at the house and found this product is more then capable to fill in when a power outage occurs. Able to run run everything I need in the event of a power outage. Simple enough to operate for my wife to use.

GP15000E Leaks Fuel From Between Fuel Vent and Tank

Two days after receiving my GP15000E I filled fuel tank to just below the fuel fill neck (instructions show to fill 1/2" below inside top of tank). I had my generator sitting on my driveway (slightly un-level surface. I started the generator and noticed a lot of gas leaking from between the fuel vapor return valve and top of gas tank (the gas was running down onto the hot exhaust and engine). I quickly hit the shut down button and feel extremely lucky I did not have a fire and explosion. I notic...

Very Good Generator!

This generator saved us during a recent thunderstorm that turned severe and knocked our power out. We shopped around and saw the awesome price and were a little leary but now we know we made a worthwhile investment. Very Impressed.

So got I bought a second one

We purchased our 1st machine back in 2011. Still runs great, but needed a second one. So we got another Generac. Assembly was quick and easy. Directions were very detailed. Our old one takes a beating and never fails us. I would recommend this product to anyone who asks about generators.

Easy & Reliable Operation

Assembling the product was easy and took about 45 minutes. I found the generator to start easily and it took no time for it to provide power to my home during a power outage. My 15,000 watt generator provides me and my family the safety and comfort we were looking for in the event of an emergency. This is the second Generac I have owned, my first one was a 1987 model 5,000 watt which I sold to purchase my new model. I highly recommend purchasing one.

Hope we don't need it, but if we do this generator starts easy and seems to works well.

Both tires don't hold air. Oil bottle opened during shipping and was over everything. Had to buy locking nuts to mount handle. Looks like a "tickle

When I opened the parts package there was oil over everything. Pumped up a flat tire and now both are flat. Had to purchase locking nuts to install the handle. It appears to work well, but your detail and instruction booklet leaves much to be desired. This replaces a 15-year-old 15KW unit, so am confident that it will perform well. Along with a spare air filter there was what appeared to be a "tickler" cable/plug, but no place on the generator to plug it in (when & if needed to restore the magne...

This is one of the best investments I made for my South Florida home. Used it only once since I bought it, but boy it was a pleasure to have all the my power I needed. It started right up.

I love my new Generac generator. It is exactly what I wanted and my wife bought it for me for Christmas. Great features and great performance. I considered other products, but none had all that I was looking for except the 17500E. So I wasn't going to settle for almost .... bought the best and got everything I wanted !!

Seems quite good at this point.

Have only run a few tests in the first 3 days of owning. Time will tell as to reliability and durability. Price reasonable. Noise level is pretty high but placement is critical. and in our case not a significant issue. Looked at others, but this seemed to exhibit best combination of size,price,reputation,and warranty. So far so good.
