Great Product

I am very happy with my purchase of the GP17500G generator. I feel that if a hurricane hits the Gulf coast my family will be comfortable in our home, with all the comforts. And I am very happy that it is made in the USA.

A must for farm operation

Have 2 Generacs and 2 other models. Generac outperforms anything else in the shop and out in the field.

Association said no Propane

I checked with my HOA, they said no to Propane back up. So after researching what my needs were and knowing the quality of Generac. I purchased a GP17500 after talking with a Generac consultant I knew this would run my whole house. Live in Florida known for Hurricanes,I am worry free in the event power goes down.

I have had this generator since February 2017, the peace of mind is priceless. I did look tirelessly and this model was the best value. Just before August 9, 2004 – August 15, 2004 I acquired the GP15000E for construction work that i was doing at the time. some of my co workers said that for just for me using portable power it was way overkill but hey i'm just that way. I cannot argue against Generac generators. For reliability, dependability and overall satisfaction I recommend getting yourself a Generic. Yes, Generacs' do cost a little more but you get what you pay for. However they are not the most expensive generator company. So, don't skimp on safety and comfort due to price. Go the extra mile and buy yourself a piece of mind. I bought myself a portable generator GP1500E to be sure I have what I need.

Lot Of Bang For Your Buck!

I purchased one of the older versions of the GP15000 and have used it in many different applications. Ranging from running out door sound, stage and lighting for various different music festivals I have help run to running an entire 3 BR 2 Bath house with a 3 ton AC unit. The engine used on these generators are easy to maintain and are extremely durable. Excellent Product. Just what we expected.

We ordered this after Hurricane Matthew and being without power for 5 days. We went with the larger model based on price and recommendations. We are happy and quite pleased with our purchase. We highly recommend Generac! We are comfortable and assurance knowing we will now be better prepared.

Seems to be well built. Could use a volt meter.

This is a fresh purchase so have not had a chance to operate it as of yet. Looks to be a well built machine and am hoping for a good experience owning it. My main concern is that I can plug it into my double throw auxiliary power and feed power to multiple buildings. The neutral bonding should allow for this. My past gen. Had neutral bonded to fram and would not function this way without throwing the breaker on the gen.

handles whole house

pro- whole house for me. 2.5 heat pump and any thing else I need in a power outage. Starts well; comes up to power right away. con- don't like the plug in underneath. My old 15,000 had it right out front. In my area we can expect an outage about every 2 months; sometimes lasting from 2 hrs. to 10 hrs. and even several days. Wouldn't be without my Generac.(P.S. I am a retired electrical employe)

Started Right Up & Reliable

I got this one to replace my older model Generac which needs service- 15 years old and still running well. This new one is just as reliable and started up right away the first time I used it. I use it weekly to pump well water and also use it for my house as a back up power source (off-grid). I researched for months before deciding on this generator and it has been everything that I needed and expected. Works great and I highly recommend it!
