Would RecommendI have a lot of dogs and I also dog-sit. This time of year it is great for them to get fresh air. I have several dogs cots outside. But, with constant use, the bolts come loose, or the cover rips and I have to replace the cover, which is a lot cheaper than replacing the whole cot. The bolts have a tendency to rust into the frame and are very hard to get out. But with this bolt-extractor is has become so much easier to replace the covers. I simply attach to my drill and squeeze the trigger and th...
Awesome!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really great product! Comes with all the most common sizes you would need and in a nice small plastic carrier that you can add into a bits case. Love the impact feature on these and it makes it that much easier to remove stubborn and rounded screws

one set does it all
Would Recommendthis set includes 1/4in, 5/16in, 3/8in, 7/16in, and 1/2in sized bolt extractors and will fit most bolts that you will come across. the heads are designed to be able to loosen and tighten a bolt, which makes them far better than other sets. this set works well with impact drivers and is suitable for high torque impact uses.
Impressive Grip!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these about a month ago. I've only used them a couple times but I've been impressed with how well they grip rounded heads. They work great on undamaged bolts in both forward and reverse but their strength is in gripping damaged bolts that I'm certain normal nut drivers wouldn't touch. The markings are easy to read and they seem durable. Overall great tool. Highly recommended!

Gets the bolts out!
Would RecommendUsed this on my many rusty and stripped bolts. So far only I’ve only needed the 1/2” and used it flawlessly. I needed this because I’ve been using locking pliers and this was so much easier. Wish I had bought these months ago before I started my 1966 mustang project. Really like them. They feel like really good quality and look great.
Great to add to the box
I have used these to help with the old fasteners on a metal building. Some good ones some rusty ones. The shape of the tool head sort of jams it onto the head of bolt rusty or not. I did not have any round the head. I did have a couple where the head was more stuck to the tool the the hole in the metal. Best to have some pliers for when that happens. It definitely seems like the sort of thing that’s great to keep around for when the need presents.
Great for removing rounded boot heads
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These things are awesome. I’m a carpenter who specializes in exterior work. I come across bolts that are worn and rounded off all the time on the job. I’ve used the bolt extractors a few times in the 2 weeks I’ve had them and they grip rounded bolts without any issues. My coworkers have used them once or twice and are surprised at how well they remove bolts with rounded off heads.

Crescent Apex - Set, Bolt Extraction,Vortex 5PC Ra
Would RecommendIt's a very nice item, works very well. Goes well with my other tools in the toolbox. I would recommend it to anyone. Used it to remove a difficult screw stuck in the frame of my garage, worked without a hitch!
great idea, but needs more depth (read more)
Would RecommendThis product is designed to grip rounded head nuts. It does this well for stripped nuts. However, it only works WELL, if you have NO bolt sticking through the nut. Notice the 1st and 2nd pics. If you have a bolt extended through the nut, the biter will NOT work, because it's not deep enough (like a deep socket). So if you have the nut fully exposed, I would HIGHLY recommend this product. If you need a Deep well, it will NOT work at all. The pic with the ruler shows that a nut will only fi...
Good Tool
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tool to have handy. They fit into the case with your other bits or drill bits seamlessly. They work to my expectations however these tools do have a niche. When I used these bits they work amazing and do just the job they describe. I strongly recommend them if you have a need. I work in residential construction

Good bit!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used on stripped 5/16 screws, rounded heads , the extracter took them out with ease. Great feature is the fact that you can use a quick connector on your impact. Great little set for anyone who runs into small stripped hex heads

Good resistance to torque
Would RecommendI used these on some very rusted and partially stripped bolt heads and it made good contact with the remainder of the head and removed them without any give. They remind me alot of the Dewalt counterpart. I haven't used them extensively but for the time I have used them they have worked flawlessly.
Couldnt have come at a better time
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this thoroughly since receiving it. My first use was taking old hose clamps off of temporary plumbing fixtures. It worked on the oldest crustiest nuts without slipping. The other great feature is that i have hose clamps for dust collection in my wood shop that were made by the lowest bidder and well lets just say that some are standard. Some are metric and some are in between. With the shape of the opening and how it tapers. It save...

Works great
Would RecommendExactly what we needed to take out some tight bolts to disassemble for moving. Works great and made things a whole lot easier on the hands by using the impact drill and these bolt extractors.
Great features and very durable
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is just what I was looking for and is very well built and has held up well. I've used it over the last few weeks for a few projects and it has not missed a beat. I'm very impressed with crescent tools and their products they have to offer.

So handy, you’ll want them in every tool box
Would RecommendSometimes things just get stripped and when they do, you tend to mangle everything trying to get them out. That is where this set comes in handy. It helps you out in those dark times. I’ve used nut/bolt extractors before and picked this set to handle the smaller sizes. The 5-piece set is machined well, laser etched with the nut size and meant to withstand the force of an impact wrench. I was surprised to find out that the Crescent Apex Vortex can extract and drive. They can do this because t...
Super for removing a rounded nut or bolt
Would RecommendThese Apex impact nut extractor sockets make quick work of rounded over nuts / bolts. These sockets grip the flats on the sides of hex nut rather than the corners. After you've rounded off the corners of a nut with a conventional wrench or socket give these a try. They grip the flat sides of the nut via a cam like action; in fact they grip the fastener so tightly that to put the socket on a new fastener takes a significant amount of force.
Good fit, holds tight, no slippage
Crescent/Apex BoltBitter – it came well packaged, 5 nut-setters/bolt-extractors, 2” long, 1/4’ hex base (to fit in any standard quick-connect adapter) with torsion section for extended life with impact-driver usage. The strip all 5 pieces are plugged in can fit in some (but not all) bit-set boxes in available space or as a replacement (it’s a bit over 3 and 1/4” long with about 3/16 round extension on each side to secure in a box – total 3 and 5/8” length). The opening fits perfectly on the sele...
Love the design
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bits are amazing, I have yet to find a bolt that these won't break loose even if it's all rusted and other bits aren't wanting to bite, these dig in and get the job done and these are some of the heaviest bits I have seen, they are definitely well made
