Lived up to the Challenge

I have a set of large 3/8" socket turbo-style bolt extractors for automotive work, but I needed some smaller sizes for some old fasteners used on the boat trailer skids that the boat hull slides on. The heads were rusted due to being submerged in the water so many times and the edges were worn off from being removed a few times. Tight grip

Got this bolt set and didn’t know how well it would work since I’ve only ever used standard types. Tried this on some rusted up bolts and worn ones, they came off easy. Didn’t round down the bolt at all. So Pretty successful product. Also used on some easy nuts for pics and worked great as well. As far as wear in tear it looks to be quite minimal. So these should last for a decent while.

Solid reliable tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These extractors work just as described. They have exceptional grip and will remove any stripped bolt with ease. The head of the bolt would sooner break than these things fail. They are also small and easily storable in their nice holder. As this is not a very common tool to need day to day, it’s nice to be able to be stored and kept together for when you do need them.

Great for DIYers

It does a great job at removing rusty, corroded bolts from an antique car I'm restoring, and I was also able to use it when repairing an old Wheelbarrow. Definitely a product to keep in the toolbox!

Lifesaver around rusted and rounded bolts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work on a lot of equipment that has seen questionable maintenance in the past and these are a lifesaver for stuck and rusted bolts or rounded heads where someone used the "close enough" method of figuring out what size tool was needed. These are a newer design than what I've used in the past and I really think it helps grab on better for really mangled equipment. I have also noticed these hold up better and don't shear apart like other brands...

I am prepared

I had a similar product in the past but it was "borrowed" and never returned. So..., when I had the opportunity to get this product, I jumped at it. The previous one did not have as many sizes but I was able to use what it did have and it worked fine. I was actually looking for an extractor set with more sizes and this fills the bill quite nicely. This removal tool clearly looks like it will work even better, not only because of more size choices but also it appears to be far better designed...

Alot of uses for removal and installation

I wanted these as I am working on a truck and fight alot of bolts that are worn. These drive alot of hex and shaped head screw and bolts. They fit nicely in there sleeve and are labeled nicely. I really like I can click these right into a impact driver and get after it. These will be a useful addition to my arsenal of impact bits.

Great addition to my drill sets!

How many times have you stripped a bolt head out and couldn't remove it, well this answers that question and is a good way to make the best kind of fix. First of all they look to be of excellent quality I like the little case they come in, secondly they fit my torque driver,and thirdly works flawlessly! I'll be looking for apex tools and drivers from now on, great job!

Handy/Works Great

This works great at loosening or tightening bolts...worked great at a rusted bolt that we could not remove The different sizes in the set are handy and can be stored with your drill

Awesome addition to toolbox

Never thought I would wish for a damaged bolt head or nut. Haven’t had any damaged bolts at home yet. Took the bolt extraction kit to work used a grinder to round off a couple of bolts and extractor removed them pretty easily. Sorry no pictures of damaged bolts no cameras allowed at work. Love the very readable sizes on the shaft of extractors. Glad to know I have this kit in my toolbox.

This extractor set is really nice!

I really like this nut extractor and driver set. It comes with five sizes of extractors in a small grey rack. The extractors fit well in the rack with no movement. They feel sturdy and durable. I love the bright red/orange color. They are easy to find when mixed in with other tools. I have a metal patio table that was very wobbly because I couldn’t tighten the stripped bolts. Confusing Sizes & Size Location

Even though the largest says 1/2 on the driver, a 1/2 size bolt does not fit. The location of the sizes on the drivers is hidden when slotted in the holder. There must be a taper to the driver as bits do not fit more than half way into the opening before becoming snug. The internal edges are radiused so that worn bolts are held by the sides and not the corners. Similar to how drivers are made that fit both standard and metric. I'm sure they could work, but the markings for sizes is confusing as ...

They work great to remove rust headed bolts

Once you get the extraction,vortex driver on head of bolt it Locke's on and removes the bolt with no problem,which I had these when I was a tech. They make the job easy.

Super cool, grippy

Great handy set to have in the tool box. Set of 5 and sizes range from 1/4” to 1/2” bolts. Locks in well into my dewalt impact driver and grips on to bolt with ease. I’m excited to have a set that can bail me out when I run into a stripped bolt. The rounded edges seem to grab tighter on not stripped bolts as well. Being designed for an impact drill is nice, generally the stripped bolts I run into are tight and rusted to whatever they’re holding. Soils tool set and a must have in your toolbox. ...

Good addition

These are a good addition to your toolbox. I have been looking for a good set of extractors and these fit the bill. They work very well and I would recommend them!

Works great!

Product was versatile and worked great for my needs. Would recommend to others. Easy to load. Easy to maneuver. Saved the heads without stripping. A definite plus to my tool bag.

Works Great

I used it on a 1/4" hex head screw which had the head rounded off. A regular 1/4" socket would not begin to take it out. The 1/4" extractor took it out the first try. This a nice set to have in your tool box sizes are 1/4" thru 1/2". It will save a lot of headaches and time, can't wait to try the other sizes. I would definitely recommend it.

Crescent's Impact Rated Bolt Extractors are good for the tool box. The 1/4" shank makes them very versatile. When time and the elements corrode/damage the fasteners, give one of these a try! With the 5x gripping force you'll be done in no time!

handi to have....

I like to keep tools in my vehicle just in case and this set works! Instead of a bunch of wrenches, which take up more space, I use this set. I use my variable speed driver with them and so far they have served me well. Might have to get another set to keep in the workshop!

Great tool

Five stars! I have used many extractors over the years , these rank right up at the top, the description says removes and installs damaged fasteners, I don’t know why you would install a damaged fastener but, I tried it and it really works
