These work on everything.

I absolutely love these. They work great at installing or extracting bolts and screws. They grip tightly and don't slip. They come in a holder that can be loaded into a case.

These work great

This is a nice little set of bolt extractors that I can use with both my impact driver and drill. The flutes aren't as aggressive as some others I've used but they easily grab the rusty, rounded off bolt. Storage is handy too since the grey holder has tabs that slide into my standard bit case.

works well

I don't see myself using this product much, but when I do it's a lifesaver. There is nothing worse than a stuck bolt. I used this to remove a bolt on a rusted lawnmower that was stripped and it came right out. I'm impressed.

Helpful Little Tool

This tool came in handy for removing bolts. We had old lattice that needed to be replaced. We don't know how long the lattice was there, since we bought our house only 3 years ago. The bolts were stuck and hard to remove. We used this tool and were very satisfied with its performance. The bolts were easier to remove.

Wish I’d bought this befire

The Apex impact nut extractor is a must have. It works great. If you have a rounded off nut or bolt this is the most effective tool I have used. I wish I had gotten these sooner. Well packed and delivered in perfect condition.

Great tool

Tool worked well on an old rusted nut. Was a good tight fit. Sturdy well built bits. Convenient storage rack. All positives! No complaints here! I'd recommend!

Good design

I have been trying to find a project that I could really test these but everything I needed to work on was too big. I had hoped to use these to change out my lawnmower blades but there was no way. This set only goes up to1/2 inch. I did have one bolt that I was able to use them on and they worked perfectly. Fit the bolt head well and did not strip it out. Very rugged, if I have a smaller project they should work fine. That’s the only reason I gave them 4 stars, not a large enough set.

These extractors seem to be the real deal.

Although I haven't actually come across any stripped out bolts of this size, I think they should do the job nicely. I took some bolts and turned them down in a lathe to round off the edges, to where there isn't a lot of flat left on them. These extractors fit very snuggly on the flats of the bolts that I turned down. A regular stripped out bolt would more than likely have more flat than I left. Works just like it says tightens and extract nut with ease they are impact rated which makes it even better, the design of the bit is great rounder corner on nuts no problem you can get them broke free

Tough, well made set

This is a well forged , well made, tough set of bits. Although it comes in a bit holder, I do not have the “alpha case” it is intended for. Either way the holder keeps them in order and secured. There are sizes 1/4, 8/16, 3/8, 7/16 & 1/2 in bits. I thought I would have a hard time finding a stripped or rusted bolt to remove but turns out I had one on my outdoor AC unit. I like the quality and durability of this set. Best used only for damaged bolts or nuts, but fits on undamaged ones. It is a shape such that the idea is to grip on irregular edges that it can bite on and remove nut or bolt heads that are damaged/stripped. It Works!

This is a review of the Crescent Apex Bolt Extractor Set (photo 1). To test this set out, I drove a hex screw deep into a wood piece and then stripped off the corners of the hex head (photo 2). I then used a standard, good quality name brand hex driver (also photo 2) in an attempt to remove the hex screw. It just kept turning around without extracting the screw. Cut into broken and stripped bolts without issue, fantastic grip. Several different sizes worked great. Glad to have it in my tool box. I like that they added grips in the bezel. Easy to hand turn even when slick.

Excellent grab good quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nut drivers work great have used both on the job driving various sizes of lags and tap cons as well as at home to help put together my kids new swing set grabbed the head good no strip out only issue we had was after driving a few 6inch lags it seemed to get lodged in the impact but just a light tap with the hammer got it out

So versatile!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical when I first went to use these as the fit on the bolt seemed questionable, but I sure was wrong! These grip and hold on tight, even with nuts and bolts that are in less than perfect condition. I am going to invest in other sizes because these were fantastic.

Simple and Well Built

The sockets have a curved area inside making them very easy to insert on a stubborn bolt. They are well built and sturdy. There are 5, ranging from 1/4" to 1/2". While I did not have an occasion to use one on a difficult bolt, the 5/16th" socket fit the c-clamp very tightly.

Crescent Quality at its Best

These extractors do exactly what they claim. They'll grip when other sockets won't. Their innovative design uses a "sharp" inverted star pattern and bites into the flats of the bolt head rather than the normal "corner-contact" method relied upon by most socket sets. The fit is tight, but that is what's required to remove/install a damaged fastener.
