Would RecommendThis set is great for home improvement tasks. I install gutters so this definitely was a plus for gutter hanging. Tough, easy fit to more than one of my drills. I would definitely recommend. Very handy and convenient set. Thanks.
Good bye striped bolts
Would RecommendThis set of bolt extractors are so easy to use. After trying to get a bolt out with a socket wrench, I tried the bolt extractor and the bolt released quickly and without any struggle
Good extraction nut driver set
Would RecommendThis is a good quality extraction nut driver set. It will grip onto the nut with ease and extract it out. I did not have a damaged nut to use it on but will in time. My only complaint is I wish it had magnets built in like most nut drivers these days.
Great tool to have
Would RecommendPackage come with 5 different sizes. Able to unscrew with damage fasteners. This also includes a refillable case. This will help around the house that needs fixing.
Excellent Value!
Would RecommendVortex”Boltbiter” Bolt Extraction Set This is another quality product from the Crescent brand. I was initially skeptical of how these extractors would function based on prior experience with other tools such as this. The six piece set consisting of 5 socket/extractors and nifty alpha case arrived on plastic wrapped cardboard display as pictured. The included sizes are 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16 & 1/2 inch and are impact rated. The extractors each have a 1/4 inch shank for use with impact drivers or...
Great Gripping Power
I’ve been waiting on tools like this for awhile.I have a few cap screws in my old truck and generator that require finesse and this tool does exactly that. The gripping pier is phenomenal and does not round off the head, rather it bites in between that does not distort the head. It is definitely a need to have tool!
They do the job
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They do they job. The bite well enough to get most rounded bolts out and even snap a few. They hold up to my good impact drivers even my 3/8 impact with a socket. So overall it was a good investment on my behalf.

Works
Would RecommendWe just bought a house that was built in 1900 so there were a lot of crazy things going on in there. I needed something to get all of the stripped and painted bolts out. This seems to fit the bill. At first it didn't seem like it was going to work, but I went slow at first and then all at once thing started to move right out. So overall it works well for my needs.
Crescent Apex Bolt Extractor is a problem solver
Would RecommendThis Crescent Apex Bolt Extractor solves the problem of how to remove bolts that have the heads rounded off. It comes in a five piece set with a 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, and a 1/2" driver. They do a great job of loosening rounded off bolts, but will also tighten the bolts if necessary. I like the handy case that they come in, but did not really understand what "refillable" meant. I appreciate that the extractors are stored neatly and orderly in the case provided. It is nice that shank...
Well made
Would RecommendThey made it easier to disassemble my project. With a cordless screwdriver. The sizes were a perfect fit for there use. They can also be used with a screwdriver handle that uses a 1/4 inch bit.
Works as expected
Would RecommendThe 7/16th bolt extractor worked like a charm. I decided to test this out by drilling a bolt I had laying around into some wood. Although the bolt extractor was not a direct fit with the bolt I drilled into the wood, it was still able to catch and extract the bolt. As far as quality, seems to be strong, but have only used one time so far.
Great small bolt extractor
Would RecommendThis extractor set works great on nuts and bolts that the edges have been stripped off. I discovered that an impact wrench will overpower the strength of the shaft. A small ratchet works best if trying to loosen a worn nut or bolt. The socket increases the bite into a stripped fitting as you turn it whether tightening or loosening. A rusted or overtightened fitting would not be a good use for this tool. Works great when used properly.
For Smaller Rusted Bolts
Would RecommendI have used larger-sized extractors on automotive jobs, but these work great for smaller jobs, like sheet metal screws that are dirty or rusted. When the fastener does come off you may have to pull it out of the socket because of the bite.
Crescnet APEX work great on damaged fasteners
Would RecommendThese bolt biters have saved my bacon on several occasions. A must have tool set for anyone whether you be a "do it yourself" or a professional tradesman. Comes in a 5 pack beginning with a 1/4", 5/16", 3/8",7/16", and a 1/2"
Boltbiter by Crescent
Would RecommendBoltbiter is one of those tools I put in the nice to have on hand category, like a good set of screw extractors. Wont always need one but nice to have on hand. Made for your impact driver and comes in a set of 5 different sizes from 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16" to 1/2" and are in a handy holder so you can keep them together in one spot. They appear to be very well made and fit my Milwaukee impact solidly . The grip end is different looking but as long as it does the job is all that is important. I ...
Nice little set!
Would RecommendThis is a nice little set of nut drivers. It contains all the common sizes -1/4”, 5/16”, 3/8”, 7/16” and 1/2”, that fit a 1/4” impact. The current nut drivers I use roll around in my impact box; these are neatly held in a plastic base, The 5/16” that I used yesterday locked securely over the head of some old hex head screws I needed to remove and backed them out with ease.
Love these!
Would RecommendThese are a great addition to my tool bag! No more ratchet needed! I used them on some very worn fasteners and they gripped and removed it very easily.
No job too tough
Would RecommendThese bolt extractors worked great for removing damaged bolts of a neglected swing set. Would have been much easier with an impact set, but gripped the stripped bolts easily. Great product
Bites through the rust
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these for the first time the other day and I was pleasantly impressed. Started with standard 5/16 magnetic nut driver. Screws were Rusty and it just rounded them off. Went to the truck and got these. It instantly bit into the screw and removed them. The only drawback is and I'm not sure they could be made magnetic. Overall an excellent product.
