Cover your work surface with a drop cloth to protect it from glue. Form a square with four pieces of scrap wood. Lay out six lightbulbs in a circle on top of the scrap wood, as shown. (The scrap wood keeps the ends of the lightbulbs in the proper elevated position when it's time to glue the bulbs together.)
Apply a few drops of glue on two bulbs and hold them together for 10 seconds. Repeat with the other bulbs around the circle until each bulb is glued to those next to it. Be careful not to use too much glue -- this will ultimately prevent the bulbs from staying attached.
Place a bulb in the middle of the circle you just made, with the screw cap facing up; take note of where it touches the bulbs in the circle. Then, hold this bulb just over the top of the circle and carefully apply drops of glue to the six bulbs below it. Place the top bulb on the circle and hold it in place. Check to see where you may need a few more drops of glue and apply carefully.
After a few minutes, turn the assembly upside down. Repeat Step 3, this time gluing a bulb to the other side of the circle.
Screw the bottom bulb onto an adapter and plug in.
