What Customers Are Saying
The touch lamp control product offers a convenient way to convert regular lamps into touch-activated lamps. Many customers found it easy to use and appreciated the ability to control the light with a simple touch. However, a significant number of customers reported reliability issues, with the product failing after a few months of use. Common problems included the lamp randomly turning on or off, unreliable touch sensitivity, and complete product failure. The touch lamp control is also not compatible with LED or CFL bulbs and can be sensitive to static electricity and power surges. While the concept is appealing, the high failure rate leads to cautious recommendations from customers.

Good idea, bad product
Would Not RecommendThe control worked fine for the first few days. Then every time I turned on the television (not plugged in the same outlet) the lamp turned on. Now ten days later it's not functioning at all. I returned it to Lowe's and exchanged it for another but won't hold my breath because two of the three still in stock have been opened previously and probably returned.
Great idea!
Would RecommendWe had a touch lamp that quit working and couldn't find another. The Lowes rep showed us this control that works as a replacement for the "guts" inside (which we couldn't find either). The first time we tried it the lamp only went up one brightness level so we thought "oh, no! its not going to work." We turned it off and tried a second time and, eureka!, just like before...up three brightness levels. As we are in our "golden years" (read that "advanced age...okay, old) its very handy when we get...

Does NOT stand up to Lighenting Stricks Aways Off!
Would Not RecommendI purchased 2 of these about 3 or 4 months ago. Yesterday (05/12/14) a storm came through as many have, but this time, lightening struck a power pole about ¾ of a mile away …(saw it) the light came on that this one was inline with and when I tried to tap out the light, it would not. I tried the other one that was not on and it worked fine. So I exchanged them as a troubleshooting and found that this one still did NOT turn off the light. So in taking it apart I found a few of the electronic compo...
Sensitive Touch Lamp Control
Would RecommendEasy to use. Only three brightness levels. Too sensitive. Nearby lightning activates lamp. Dog walking near cord activates lamp. Sometimes I only need to get within a few inches of the lamp to turn it on! Using halogen bulbs. Regular incandescent works too. CFL will not work!

She no work
Would Not RecommendThis product is a sick joke. I plugged my lamp into it and it just cycled through from off to low to medium to bright to off and on and on. I thought my l lamp needed an exorcism. It seemed possessed. I have to assume that it might work in some homes or why would the company even bothered to manufacture it, but no joy here.

Seems to be perfect
Would RecommendThe touch control for a lamp I have stopped working. The lamp would only be in the full on setting when it was plugged in. There was no way to turn it off or dim it. I plugged in the touch lamp control module from Lowes, and presto! Three dimmer settings were instantly restored for only about $12. However, it's only been a week so at this point I can't comment on how long it will last.

Having a bit of a problem with the Touch Lamp Control. The lamp comes on at various times often in the middle of the night without touching it.

Really works!
Would RecommendThis is the second lamp control I've purchased. Be warned...you have to have a metal lamp and a regular bulb (not 3 way) for it to work. Had one that finally wore out...it lasted a long time. Very easy to use.

It's like magic
Would RecommendI am blown away by this product. It couldn't be easier. Plug it into the wall and plug your lamp into it. Done. Your lamp now goes on and off with a simple touch. Loved it so much I went back for another.

Didn't work for me.
Would Not RecommendI installed the touch switch. The lamp came on I touched it several times. It went off, on low, on medium, on high, off, etc. Seemed to work fine. I came into the room later. The lamp was on. Touched and it went to off. Same thing happened about 3 times. I unplugged it from the power source and left home for several days. Upon returning I plugged it in and the lamp came on, but would not go off without unplugging it. I plan on returning it today for my money back.

Limited useful life
Would Not RecommendDesigned only for Incandescent bulbs which go off-market Jan. 1. Tested with CFL and LED, neither worked properly. I returned to store.

Just a touch of light
Would RecommendThis is a neat little gizmo that turns any bulb into a three way bulb. I am using an LED bulb and it works just fine on low, medium, and high just by touching the lamp. The beauty of the LED bulb is that it uses a lot less electricity and stay cool. No more rewiring the light every time the three way switch fails which seemed to be about about every third bulb.

Failed within 2 weeks
Would Not Recommendpurchased 2 units, they are certainly easy to use, but 1 failed within 2 weeks. frequent random on and off is a problem.
Convenient nightstand light touch switch
Would RecommendThis product adds 3 levels of light intensity, adjusting when the lamp is simply touched, without having to fumble for the actual switch.

Great for turning the light on in the dark!
Would RecommendThis is next to the bed, where I have a lamp that is a bit difficult to turn the switch, plus a pain to reach that far half asleep. Now I can just lightly tap the base of the lamp and it has 3 levels of brightness, another feature that I like. Only thing i would like is if it was usable with the newer, more energy efficient bulbs, but it is so convenient I am happy to have one or two incandescent bulbs around!

Love this lamp adapter!
Would RecommendThis is the third or fourth one that i have purchased for our bedroom bedside lamps. You can make any lamp with exposed metal into a touch lamp by plugging this into the outlet with the lamp plugged into the Touch Control plug. I have had to replace them after use a number of years, but so worth it for the price!
Be Aware!
Would RecommendWhile this is a very good product (I've purchased them before), I learned something with this one that I did not know. You cannot use more than one of these devices on the same circuit at the same time. While I do not understand the technical aspects of why they will not work properly when more than one is on the same circuit, I tried it with new one (My wife wanted the table lamp on her night-stand to be like mine with the touch control.) and neither would work properly with two devices on the ...
Works as advertised
Would RecommendThis product is easy to use and works just like they say. It might work better or worse with different types of lamps, but I have 2 of them and they work perfect.
