Love these bits

This is a very nice four-piece set of heavy-duty, high-quality bits! They are powerful and clean. They easily drilled through a fresh hardwood tree with a clean and smooth finish. Powers through like butter!

Wow! The Spyder - Stinger Power 4-Piece Assorted x 6-1/2-in Woodboring Auger Drill Bit Set is now my favorite bit set! I am so surprised that a bit could be so much better versus a regular drill bit. Why have I waited so long to try these? This bit easily went through an made a clean hole faster than standard bits. I would recommend this set!

Power Auger Bits

These kinds showed up without notice a couple of days ago. But I did get to use them for a day. They remind me of the old brace and bits my grandfather used. They are very nicely made and sharp. They cut through a lot faster than the paddle bits I tested against the auger bits. Makes a nice clean cut hole also. Overall these are very good I would recommend this product to anyone!

Good Bite

My first comment is on the packaging. I do not care for sealed plastic packaging that must be destroyed to open. I prefer a package that can be re-used for storage. Once you open these, you do need a way to store them. My initial review started using a battery powered drill, which did not have the torque to do the job, so I switched to my DeWalt 1/2" power drill. Great drill bits

I used these to build a corn hole board. I made some clean entry and exit cuts with these drillbits. I like that these are made for impact drivers and takes little effort to go right through the wood. Definitely a must have in your set.

GREAT Wood Bits

I drilled a few holes in some 2x4 boards to try them out. They perform comparable to spade bits in pine, but with less vibration. They may perform better than spade bits in manufactured wood or plywood. The advantage over spade bits is that the entire spiral is sharp so if you need to wobble (oval) a hole a little, they will cut from the side. The hex shank is a good feature to prevent slipping in the chuck.

They do the job and are a good value

I tried the 1/2 bit on a piece of oak hardwood floor and then a 2x4. Clean holes in both cases. I liked that they have a sharp tip on them that makes it easier to start the hole exactly where you want it. I do not do a lot of drilling with large bits like these, so I cannot speak to any increase in drilling speed they may produce. You will lose some of the blue accent paint the first time a bit is used. I did like the hex bit feature. I would say that these are a good value for the price.

Spyder auger bit set

These bits work great. Drilling holes has never been easier. Has a stinger tip so the bit will not walk on you. Another great thing is they work in Cordless impact guns as well as regular drills. Nice quality and perfect sized bits in this set.

Extremely sharp. Very easy to use

These bits are incredibly sharp out the package. They have an easy connection to any drill, impact as well. The paint chipped with the first use but is only cosmetic. It has a nice point that allows for exact drillibg and no slipping. For large holes these are great. Well see how they last long term and how long they stay sharp

Great bits

These are superior drill bits. The set comes with 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and a 1". I chose the 1" to test as this is the one I will use most when running pipes and wiring through studs. Also larger holes are harder to bore than narrow ones. I used in both fresh, green and dried pressure treated lumber. The bits cut quickly and cleanly, with little resistance with my 18v cordless drill. There were no burrs or rough edges. The bare bit in the photos is after drilling 10 holes. Powers Thru Wood!

These drill bits for wood were SPOT-ON!! I wasn't sure what to expect, I've been seeing this brand at my local store and have been curious because they looked so strong and well made and I was anxious to try them out. If you need to go digging through some wood without hardly any effort, then these are the bits for you and once you get started, these bits pull themselves right into the wood. 4 Piece Power bits

These make quick work of wood! From the opening of package to use I knew these are of good quality! Recommend the 4 pack as it comes with different sizes. The 1/4” impact hex is a great feature! Didn’t get photos of wall I used it on but did make for nice clean holes

Quality bits

I really like these drill bits. The clear the shavings quickly without clogging. The center point of the bit keeps it from walking as you get started. It makes a nice, flat bottom hole if that is what is needed. I like the 1/4 " hex attachment point. They are a good length to used between studs for making holes to pull wire. I would recommend these bits to add to your tool set.

Spyder - Stinger Auger Bits Power Through Wood!

The Spyder Stinger Wood Boring Augers cut through wood with ease. The design of the tip makes getting the hole started very easy. The auger easily clears shavings as it moves through the wood. I bored a hole in a 40 year old floor joist with no problems!

Fast drilling

I like this bit set very much. The set has four popular sizes. They drill holes 40 times faster with less torque than conventional centre point bits saving valuable time especially on the job site. Because they require less torque they drill 25 times more per charge than conventional centre point bits used in high output battery operated tools, more valuable time saved! They drilled easily through the old 2x12 I had laying around that had gotten hard. Definitely recommend these bits.

Fast and Clean

That’s what is on the box. I have no reason to not believe it. Look at the razors edge on the helical profile shot - impressive!!! Can’t wait to rip some holes.

I love the new look and the durability of these drill bits. They are quick and barely heat up after use definitely a great addition to any wood workers shop

On point

The spider stinger power bits are on point using a 1/4” hex impact driver. The 4 pack from Lowes includes the most common sizes used in construction and finishing 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, and 1”. The power bits in comparison to the paddle bits that are frequently used for wood these seem to extract the wood shavings much better and in a cleaner manner as shown in the video. I will be using these on all my future projects as I like these better. I would recommend!!

Great for drilling

These stinger bits are great for running plumbing through floors and joists works great with impacts drills as well and are easy to use and they pretty much drill themselves without any pressure

Good selection of sizes and Good Quality

These bits range in size from 1/2,5/8,3/4 and 1 inch and have used various bits from drilling into studs and drilling holes in old stumps and they bite well I to the wood and no twisting and make clean holes. It is nice that they a 1/4 inch impact hex to fit into the drill and with the various sizes makes it convenient. Well packaged and good quality.
