Pass. The 5/8 bit wouldn’t even go a half an inch into a 4x4.

Fast Action bits

I used these bits to bore through a wooden fence 2x4 and a fence board. The largest bit blew through it like it was cardboard. Definitely recommend these for boring large hole with efficiency.

Good for single holes but not mortises

These bits did a good job on the drill press for single holes but had trouble when I used them for clearing out a mortise. Since they lack a lead screw they don't track dependably in an interrupted cut. A forstner bit would have done better since it follows the circumference cutter. However, a forstner bit doesn't clear chips well on a deep hole. The best things about them were that they cut fast and cleanly leaving a good finish on the hole and they didn't have any blow-out on exit. Clearing...

Caught these on sale wish I would of bought more

Find these on sale for 12 bucks for the set so I got them to try them out and I’m simply put amazed. They drill through wood so fast and so clean I love them.

Not very clean holes, but FAST!

I bought these because I wanted an alternative to Wood owl overdrive bits. The design of these looks very similar, So I figured these might cut clean holes with minimal tear out like the Overdrive bits, but much cheaper. Upon close inspection, the finish looked a bit cheap. The blue coating was chipping off here and there, and was hanging over the flute in several spots. I got quite a bit of tear out, but mostly on TOP of the hole. Not correct sizes

I would admit that these bits can drill holes very easily, but it's a real issue when it says it's one size and it actually isn't. They are all just a bit smaller than their claimed size making the hole smaller than you would expect. I was unable to complete my project that was using a half inch dowel to go into a half inch hole when the half inch hole created by this drill bit was only .4 inches. The 3/4 bit was a similar issue. Beast of a bit

These are mean and no BS bits. Ran them through the trunk of about eight trees and they were cutting it like butter. Not even scratches on the bed. This is an extremely high quality product that will probably last me for quite a while
