Great boring tool

I'm wanting to build a little rope fence going up to my dock, this drill bit makes boring a hole to run the rope through is very efficient. It definitely makes life easier having the proper tools to do the work.

Not my best tool

When we opened the drill bits, the points on them were substandard. When we used them, they weren't as efficient as we expected. Also after the first use, the paint on them was starting to peel so we lost the lubrication that it was supposed to provide.

Fast drill bits!!

These Spyder bits are as fast as they say, and they leave a nice clean hole. They have lots of swirling to remove the sawdust flakes. We are impressed with them and the quality, they are real heavy bits. For wood type products only. Not designed for metal.

A clean cutting drill that is easier than a spade

I was a bit hesitant to try these over a spade drill bit. A spade drill requires a lot of pressure to cut and make progress but that pressure also gives you clues as to how well the bit is cutting. These are large, heavy auger bits, a type of bit I have not used in decades except with a manual brace and bit. Great drill bits!

I go through quite a few bits in my profession. I try not to spend too much on them, cause they inevitably get dulled after a couple uses. I've used these bits numerous times already, and they are as sharp as the day I received them. Granted I've just drilled through soft wood, no nails or anything. But they are still a better qualitythen what I'm used to. I like the tip too, doesn't jump or move around.

Convenient Speedy Bits

Subject Spyder drill bits are convenient with their impact rated 1/4” hex shafts. Came in a set of 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4” and 1”, short lengths. They drill clean holes with minimal burr at entry/exit, even n plywood. Drilling is quick and minimal torque is observed in piece-holding. I like these bits!

A NICE SET OF SHORT AUGER BITS.

Super clean hole

I should have got these for my ladder project, they are awesome. Super clean holes with barely any tear-out at all. The 2nd pic is the backside of the board - with my other bits this would look horrible so I would have to drill from both sides which sometimes messed up with alignment. It was actually kind of insane how fast they drilled. I had to back off the pressure a little bit. Great bits that will get a nice foam slot in my tool bench!

Disappointment

I had expected a much better result ! I had no pressing uses , however that can change at anytime ! I drilled a hole in a scrap piece of lumber , and found that it was slower , than using my Irwin Spade Bits ! I had expected given the hype that the bits would perform better ! Not so ! For thee price , I would have expected a better product 1

The perfect augers for my shed project!

This auger set is plenty big for any of my projects! Good variety of bit sizes. Drilled through the landscape timbers easily, without getting stuck. The only issue I had was with my smaller, somewhat-wimpy, battery-operated drill...it needed a bit more oomph for the larger bit! And it wanted to twist out of my hands! Overall, a great product!

Do the job. Clean cuts on the front.

These bits do the job as needed. They start and drill nicely, but be careful with the larger size bits to be sure you bore straight and don't go at an angle or they'll hang up like any other large bits. I love the 1/4" hex base's positive grip in my drill. I didn't experience any slippage like I have with some of my older bits. I tried these out on an old piece of 2x6 when I got them. I drilled nice clean test holes...at least from the front. There was quite a bit of tear out on the back side....

Spyder 4-pc auger bit set

I found these drill bits to be strong and clean, making smooth and straight holes without much effort. The kit comes with 4 useful sizes that will come in handy for many projects. The 1/4" hex is secure in both my corded and battery-powered drills.

Great bit set

Great quality and variety of sizes in one pack. I like that they are impact bits I tend to use my impact more than a standard drill. They go through wood with ease and are very sharp.

Drill bits

The bits worked great with my tools as shown in the pictures attached. I used a 2x4 to see how it would work compared to regular drill bits. It did better but not quite sure that it was as good as it advertised. It would of been nice if they came in a case so that they will not dull out hitting other tools. Overall they worked good. If you do a lot of wood work then yes I would get them. I would like to see other sizes of the bits though.

Good choice

I found these bits to be a good solid choice and had no issues when using them, so far. I will update this review if I change my opinion on these. The bits that I received were well manufactured, no burrs or sharp points to be found. The bit itself is of course sharp so be careful handling them. Smooth and solid

Works really good. No dancing and drives straight into the material. Smooth and easy but I wouldn’t recommend for wood deeper than 4 inches. Love the grip on the end, makes it easy to use with an impact if you choose to.

Auger set

This is a great set of augers. I love how they made them to fit into my electric drill. And the sharpness is excellent. Drilling through 2 X 4's is easy and leave a fairly clean hole. Good for threading through elec. wires. Only problem is see is with the starting drill point. I feel it should be a little longer. Because if you were trying to hit an exact spot it is hard to see exactly where the center drill is located on you work area. Make it about 1 /2 in long.Then it would be perfect...

Smooth operation

Great tool addition for easy hole drilling for woodboring projects 1/2”,5/8”,3/4” & 1” options. As advertised fast & clean holes drilled, very little effort required with these bits. A quality tool!
