What Customers Are Saying
The product works well for removing some stripped or corroded wood screws, but may struggle with more stubborn or hard metal screws. Proper technique, such as drilling a deep pilot hole and using low RPM in reverse, is crucial for the extractor to grip the screw head effectively. The extractor size must match the screw size for best results, and in some cases the extractor bit may break or further strip the screw head.

DOES NOT WORK
Would Not RecommendNot only did I follow the instructions on the package, I watched a YouTube video. It just did not work at all. Don't waste your money. Read other people's comments online too. They agree that it doesn't work.
Returned product.
Would Not RecommendTried this product on a simple wood screw. No joy.
Don't do it
Would Not RecommendDoing some deck work, and was looking for something to help remove some stripped/stuck screws. I gave it 1 star because it got 1 screw out...and now it's completely stripped and worthless. I tried it on at least a half a dozen screws and was finally able to get one to spin out. The burr end is just a knob now, this thing didn't even last a week. What a waste of money, save yours.
Save your money
Would Not RecommendThis product completely failed. I drilled out the screw and tried to use the grabit and it eventually stripped the grabit. Complete fail.
Didn't Work
Would Not RecommendI tried to use this product to remove a stripped #10 x 2" wood screw from basswood but the extractor would not grab the screw. Luckily I was able to use small pliers to get underneath and turn the screwhead until it was removed.
Second time worked fine
Would RecommendFirst one out of the package actually snapped on me. It was a small screw, and shouldn't have been an issue, but the metal snapped on me. This is understandable, since the harder metals needed to grind through softer metals are often more brittle. In any case, the first bit may have been a fluke. The second worked just fine.
Didn't work!
Would Not RecommendWe bought this Grabit drill bit to hopefully extract a stripped screw from our shower faucet. Despite burnishing the screw head three times (as the directions told us, if it "didn't work" the first time) when we flipped the tool to use the other end, the "Grabit" end of the tool did absolutely nothing! The screw did not budge. Clearly, the Grabit end of the tool does not have enough length or depth of grooves to do any "grabbing" whatsoever! We returned this for a full refund. The guy at Lowes w...
It worked!
Would RecommendThis product worked as recommended, but lookked as if it had been returned as the package was taped shut. The salesman was not sure if it would work but it did and I was very satisfied.
Why did I wait so long to purchase this tool?
Would RecommendWhile I was changing out door knobs and hinges I ran into one badly stripped screw (apparently stripped when originally installed). I tried several methods I found on the internet... nothing worked. Finally went to Lowe's and asked about an extractor. The employee knew exactly what I needed and stated "this little tool is the greatest." He was correct! Well worth the $8.
Good Starter Set
Would RecommendFor the price this is a good starter set.
Alden' grabit
Would Not RecommendVery poor quality.I was not able to remove even one broken screw .I am returning the product to store.
Product did not do the job
Would Not RecommendSales person was helpful funding the product and explaining how to use it. But it did not remove stripped screw.
Good investment
Would RecommendI did check out the website before buying this product and what I was going to use it for. I would buy another one if I ever lost the one I have.
