Rusted parts makes difficult to use

I bought the composter 3-4 yr ago. Up today happy with it. However, one of the hinges broke due to rust. Also the mechanisms to close the door is rusted and now is difficult to operate. Seems very close to broke and this will make the bin úseles.

Could have been great if...

I purchased it in 2013 or 14 so the warranty is up. I have already replaced the hinge on one side once and it has rusted in two again as well as the latching mechanism on the same side. Well designed

My wife and I bought this two or three years ago. It's a bit of a task to assemble, but it went together well and functions well. Our only problem was the latch hardware becoming stiff due to corrosion after a year or so. Two or three times, I freed it up with spray lubricant. Finally one of latch assemblies broke due to corrosion. Looking at the web site, I learned that they redesigned the latch hardware with a corrosion-resistant coating - I am impressed that they stay with their products...

Rusted and won’t close

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked this composter a lot at first. Now the locking mechanism on both sides is so rusted it’s very hard to get them closed completely. I thought I had it closed enough yesterday (but evidently didn’t) and and of course it dumped half baked compost all over the place when I turned it. What a mess. I’m going to call the manufacturer to see if their lifetime warranty is, in fact, that. It’s only about 5 years old.

About every 4 months, we dump out the side that's been resting, sift out the big pieces that still haven't completed (avacado pits, mango seeds), and off we go. Our garden boxes love the material. Quickly breaks down compost, interior prone to rust

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 6 years of midwest winters and summers, the interior parts have all rusted and some of the corner squares have fell off. I highly recommend it, I just wish the life cycle was a bit longer. I will continue to use it due to the large investment and how quickly it breaks down my compost. Overall much easier to use than my other compost systems.
