Broken metal hinge on dual compost tumbler

I bought dual compost tumbler from Costco three years ago. One of metal hinge is broken. Where can I get the replacement?

Failed product and failed service

I bought this product ~2012/2013. Was very happy to assemble it - other than some difficulty to attach a few corner caps, the assembly was straightforward and smooth. Outstanding Customer Service

Unit does an outstanding job of composting however some of the metal parts have rusted to the point that one side is no longer usable. Called customer service to see what I could do to save the unit and they agreed to send all of the rusted parts. Unit is great...customer service is excellent.

Good composter. Excellent customer service.

Going on 5 years of great compost with my double barrel composter. Love that I can start a new bin while the other finishes. When I needed replacement parts, customer service had a quick response and helped me get the parts I needed.

Rusted out a second time

Great customer service

I too had the interior hardware rust on my double rotating compost bin. I was on the phone with the Lifetime customer service representative and he kindly, and quickly agreed to send me all the parts I need to replace the hardware free of charge! It was a great interaction in this day and time where customer service seems to be almost non- exsistent. Thank you!!

Excellent customer service

I had an issue with obtaining spare parts in the UK and asked Lifetime to supply direct. Parts received in good time and now it is as good as new. Excellent customer service.

Great Composter + Great Customer Service

I was given one of these rotating composters and shortly thereafter the hinge rusted out/broke. I contacted Lifetime and they sent a replacement hinge no questions asked.

Double Bin Rotating Composter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 of these composers a while ago. They continue to work well in the Hawaiian heat! Parts that needed to be replaced were sent out and arrived within a week! The customer support department is AWESOME...the replacement parts ended up being FREE. This company truly walks the talk of exceptional customer support. I will buy their products again without without a second thought about quality and standing behind what they sell.

Metal parts in the bins rust out quickly

These were great at first, but the hinges rusted out and fell apart in about a year. Lifetime sent me replacements, but then the latches and associated hardware began rusting and disintegrating. I fixed what I could at first to keep them in commission, but finally gave up on them when the bars rusted out. They have been all but useless for most of the time I've owned them.

Works great!

It took a little trial and error to see the full benefits of this. I have a large yard and use it for yard waste and kitchen waste. Initially I would put in too much wet green waste and it would get a little funky. I realized I had to add enough drier waste to balance it out. Now it works great and makes nice compost to add to the garden. Very happy with it.

Great concept but -It becomes completely disfunctional pretty quickly

Cons: We bought this composter from Costco a few years ago. It was hard to assemble and we realized that it was hard to rotate. Its locking mechanism was kind of finicky from day 1. And the drums leaked constantly due to water logging in our PNW weather. The Aereator bar inside got clogged pretty quickly. And the locking mechanism stopped working due to immense rusting. Awesome customer service

They sent us the replacement parts and we are in business. Would highly recommend lifetime products, they definitely stand behind their products.

Great long term service

They responded quickly to my request and I had my spare part with in a matter days. It is a pleasure dealing with a company who really cares about their product, customers for the long term. My favourite composter

We bought one composter and liked it so much we purchased another one the following year. It has a large opening that ensures it is easy to get the compost materials in and out of the container. It is large enough for the contents to heat up but still small enough to turn easily. Living in a high-altitude, zone 3 area (aka. cold), we are usually able to empty 3 of our compost barrels in the fall and the fourth in the spring. An added bonus is that this composter doesn't attract rodents.

Broken Hinge

The dual tumbler is about 4 years old. The hinge broke and i finally decided to replace it. Couldn;t find one that worked at the local hardware store so i decided to see if i could get one from Lifetime. To my surprise, not only can I get one, but I get it for free!! I just assumed once it was sold they would be like so many other manufacturers - it was mine at that point. Nice to be pleasantly surprised

Easy to use, love it

I bought this over 4 years ago and I love it. Its easy to use and it looks great. It keeps all the compost inside the tumblers and this elimintaes many of the odors and mess associated with composting. Animals cannot get into the tumblers and that gives me piece of mind. The only draw back I experienced was that the metal hinges after years of use did give out and actually broke away from each other. Great product, even though the hinges and latch failed after 4-5 years. The company made good on free replacements of the failed parts. I'm a happy camper!
