Rust issues

I really liked my composter and thought it worked great. First one set of hinges broke. The company sent me replacement hinges but I could not get the old one off due to rust. Now the other side is broken. I am disappointed that rust was an issue.

The oldest/first problem happened during the winter a few years ago. While attempting to rotate the left bin in the middle of winter the metal holding pin broke. Later the metal pin on the Right bin bent. It's still usable and rotates you just can't lock the bin's into place anymore. Great Customer Service

The metal hinges on our duel composter rusted away. The company replaced the entire unit without amy problems. We would definitely recommend the Lifetime company to do business with.

Twice is twice as good

I bought this at Costco, and living in the Rocky Mountains where the temperature gets low in the winter and not alot of composting gets done having two bin is great

LOVE my composter

I have had my double tumbler for years now. It has been perfect for our family, and I can't even believe how it has reduces our waste going to the landfill. The inside mechanism rusted, and they sent me brand new parts at no charge. It took a little to get the rusted parts off the unit, but all is well and we are back in business. I think this is a great product.

Easy to compost

This product makes composting simple and effective. We have produced garden compoost for two years making waste into valuable garden fertilizer. When the hardware became rusty, I took the name, "Lifetime" literally, and called for replacements. They came through like champions. Thank you Lifetime.

Great Feature

Great concept; execution is only so-so

I purchased this at Costco about four years ago. Assembly was not too difficult, although I am pretty sure there was an error in the instructions because both barrels came out asymmetrically, meaning that the little handles that allow you to rotate the drums didn't fall at 90 degree angles. I installed the completed composter in my shed and it gave me good service for several years. Lifetime name is totally misleading

The plastic will last, but all metal components inside the bins (hinges and latch) are low quality stamped metal from southeast asia. Its shocking how fast they rust. Not wasting anymore money on replacement parts. Time to move in a different direction.

easy to use great customer service!

I bought this about 2 years ago. some of the hinges and parts inside have rusted, but they have sent me new parts and i am thrilled. Not many things you buy make it so easy to solve simple problems. super thankful

Great product and warranty service

I’ve had this since 2012 and it works as well as advertised. I had a rusting issue with the latches and Bruce at lifetime ordered out the parts I needed. When tumbling the bin always keep the lids on the top after turning to keep the compost off of the latch mechanism to extend the life of latch assembly.

Great customer service

Bought the dual compost tumbler product over 5 years ago. Works great! Had recently problems with rusty latches that were stuck in place similar to other posts. Called customer service and had better replacement parts sent. Now I can keep composting!!!

Falls apart

We bought this composter from Costco sometime ago since we didn't have much luck with one we'd purchased previously. We thought this would be ideal having the 2 tumblers to spin,making the breakdown of materials so much easier.
