Good product, great service

Good, but a few rust problems...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't like the opening handle mechanisms; they can rust and get hard to use. Also, the main aerator bars can rust completely through and break, see pic. Warranty customer service is great though!

Love It, But Hinges Rusted and Broke. Pins Broke Too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my double bin rotating composter about 1yr ago. I absolutely love it! It works well, but my hinges rusted very quickly and broke. My pins that keep the barrel from rotating also broke. I can't rotate it any more because since the hinges broke the tops wont stay on. I am hopeful Lifetime will at least replace the hinges and pins. I can't imagine buying a brand new composter at this point. Please help.

Works fine but rust needs care.

Yes the metal internal parts rust. But simply coating with spray on oil like WD40 or spray lithium grease will give more years of service. Spray the hinges and latch mechanism every 3 months or so helps a lot. But Lifetime should really make a design with stainless steel for the internal parts, that would solve many problems. Also cover the composter during rain to keep your mix from getting too wet. I got 2 giant plastic bags and simply drop a bag over each bin.

Excellent customer service

Metal parts of my rotating composter were rusty and no more usable. I asked for spare parts (thinking by myself that it would be difficult). Customer service has been incredibly kind and efficient, offering a total warranty! I wish we had the same in France. Thank you

I bought my compost tumblers 5 years ago. Some of the parts rusted and I was unable to open it up to fill it. I called the customer service to get a replacement parts to fix it. I was afraid that because I didn't have the receipt or anything left of the purchase that it would be difficult to get. The guy ask me what was wrong and when I had purchase it. With out hesitation he asked for my address and told me when it should get to me. I offered to pay for shipping and he said it was already ...

Compost tumbler

Have been waiting for replacement covers that never happened. Call to lifetime resulted in company sending me brand new complete tumblers. Great customer service. High five. Cannot go wrong with Lifetime

Comfortable & Confidence

Purchased 5 years ago,and the tumblers provided my gardens with full of nutritions they needed. Upon requested, they supplied a new full set of accessories including the tumbler's hook/loop for replacing the old rusted ones. It is great service.

Excellent support

I bought these several years ago and they worked quite well for some time. Then the closing mechanism started to rust and made the doors hard to open and close. I sprayed them with WD40, which helped for a short time until they quit functioning all together. It was then that I called the company to find out if the parts could be ordered. I was sure that there was no warranty left and was prepared to pay for thr parts. I was told that the parts would be replaced, no charge. This is what I call se...

Large capacity

Really like the ability to have two rotating chambers that can house compost in different degrees of completion. Rugged construction and the black housing attracts and retains heat. Rear hinge seized after 2 years but customer service is sending new ones, so I'm happy and satisfied.

Rusted parts replaced, nenewed and installed because of you!

One of the bins on my composter was rusted shut and as a result of that had to really pull on it to get it opened - I called customer support and sure enough once they got the replacement parts they sent them out and the rest is NEW history

Wonderful product and great customer service

The double bin feature allows one load to mature while the other takes the fresh matter. After 5 years the company replaced a rusted hinge at no charge. I'm looking forward to years and years more use.

But what is most exceptional is the incredible customer service provided by Lifetime when parts have needed to be replaced. As others have noted, the interior locking mechanism rusted after a year or so of use. I called Lifetime and they immediately sent me a replacement with an updated anti-rust coating.
