A great concept

We bought this fridge because we are foodies. The fresh herb tray and the 5 drawer design are excellent ideas. Unfortunately the water dispenser is directly above the control panel on the deli drawer. Water finds its way into the controls and shorts out the fridge. If you do buy this fridge, I I honestly think it is worth it, silicone over the panel.

Lasted6 years

We remodeled our kitchen just in time for Thanksgiving 2019, our refrigerator died 11/30/2025. The compressor needs to be replaced. It’s a beautiful refrigerator and we really enjoyed but for the price we paid it should have lasted longer than 6 years. I won’t be buying another KitchenAid.

Overall not great.

It seems to be related to one of the smaller drawers not fully sealing when closed. It has been pretty annoying. The other thing I don't like are the 2 drawers in the main fridge- they are not humidity controlled, so fruit and vegetables do not stay fresh. I have had 2 other Kitchenaid refrigerators that I like better than this one so a bit disappointe...

LEMON Model

I’m on my 3rd refrigerator since 2018. The ice maker stops working, the freezer and refrigerator stops cooling and the food is ruined. I’ve lost count of the repairmen who’ve tried to repair the problem. My first two refrigerators were Whirlpool. In 2022 the 2nd refrigerator was replaced with this Kitchenaid model that had the same design.

Horrible, gradual failure of fridge

We have had this model less than 5 years. In the first year, the ice-maker would not function with a filter in place. In the third year, the temperature control in the deli/drinks/thaw drawer would not function. In the fourth year, the refrigerator failed. We bought a 5-year warranty, The repair company got it running for about 1.5 months after replacing the compressor, but if the ice maker was on the freezer wouldn't work. There was a pool of water under the two middle drawers. There is a crack...

Do not buy

I purchased this refrigerator along with all other Kitchen Aid appliances for a new construction home approximately 6 years ago. After 4 years this refrigerator leaked water underneath and damaged my hardwood floors. Thankfully I had purchased an extended warranty. The appliance repair company only serves my city one day per week. I was having to wipe up water for about 6 weeks while the service technician made multiple trips for repairs. They finally concluded they could not repair the refriger...

Kitchenaid for us.

We bought a new home 8 years ago ad my wife immediately wanted the best appliances in her kitchen. We outfitted the entire kitchen with a suite of Kitchenaid. We are now downsizing and in the transition we have already ordered new appliances for our new home. You guessed it, Kitchenaid. I will miss this kitchen!

Nice looking on the outside but.....

Like many others, the outside & looks are great. We purchased the fridge in the spring of 2022 and it needs to be replaced. The frig was purchased with the matching electric oven & micro wave. Have had problems with ice maker (still works irregularly & now the freezer wont freeze and the FC motor sounds like a lawn mower. The frig use has been limited at best with only 2 people living in the household. I've run the service technicians codes and nothing comes up as an error. I've done sever...

Great customer service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Frig is beautiful and very spacious. The ice maker is small and take a long time to make ice. This was a replacement frig for one that had issues and kitchen aid was on their game to fix and then replace without issues.

Beautiful refrigerator, thoughtful Storage

The layout of the storage is very thoughtful and user friendly. I really like that I can precisely input how much water I need dispensed and it will do it!!My only complaint is that my refrigerator did not have the glass shelf over the Herb storage area or the small fresh herb container. Poor quality

We are now on our second one of this model. Beautiful refrigerator with a great design that we have enjoyed. However, both times they developed issues and after having technicians do repairs, problems continue. And both times the warranty company decided it was too costly to repair. When we first purchased this, we also purchased the matching stove, dishwasher and over the stove microwave. What a shame, previous Kitchenaid refrigerators were actually a good quality. Next fridge won't be a Kitche...

battling 1000

I've had to return this unit three times for manufacturer's defects. I don't understand it first time compressor was way to loud. Second time the replenishment unit had internal defects inside the unit. Third time I saw the delivery driver mishandled the unit outside my home, which leads me to believe that's why the fist unit went bad. Im gonna attempt one more time and will see what happens.

Sad lil Fridge

Very spacious inside and we were thrilled about it— until it stopped working. The freezer stopped working at one point but some started working again after we threw everything out. This time a giant block of nice is forming behind the left drawer and again seems to be out— it’s pushing the drawer open. Time to throw out food again. This fridge is a nightmare- 0/10 do not recommend.

Junk

Purchased a little over a year ago and paid a lot of money. Ice maker stopped working and repair man has been here three times and not yet fixed. Just keeps replacing parts. Told us 81 different parts can go wrong. People need to stop buying these French door types with all of the fancy options and go back to the basic '60's/'70's style. Worry about the food, not the look and options that are not needed.

Very disappointed

According to the tech the fan went out and and he ordered a new board so we were without a freezer five more days. It really sucks you pay this much money and it breaks within 9 days. Very disappointed

3 time buyers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our refrigerator this is the 3rd of this model. The 1st one had to get rid of due to the house being full of mold. The 2nd although looked great from outside the inside was breaking down in 4-5 years and the compressor and other parts failed causing to buy another. The last looks great and we have matching appliances all throughout the kitchen. Works great and quite pleased.
