Didn't work for me

I tried doing everything I was told to do, but the screw didn't move.

Worse off now than I was before trying this kit

The drill bits worked well enough. I was able to drill out the center of a stubborn bolt without issue. I inserted the extractor and attempted to twist the bolt out. I put a crescent wrench on the extractor and began trying to twist it out. The extractor snapped off in the hole I drilled out. Now I need a better drill bit that can drill out the harder steel of the broken extractor. I'm worse off now than I was before trying to use this kit.

Perfect Tool

Perfect tool for the job. Kit offers a number of sixes of broken bolts,etc. AND the accompanying drill bit to use to obtain the removal hole. All in one package.

It Just Didn't Work

I had 4 screws to remove. After purchasing this set from Irwin, they remained. I had to purchase a set from a very large online retailer to get them out. The set I purchased is made by a company called "Essential Tools" and only cost $10.49.

A little Heat(ButaneTorch) & Irwin's Spiral Screw Extractor made this headache go away...

only way to back out of a jam

The only way to remove a screw is an easy out. They give you the corresponding screw size and that makes it easy

A little hard to get started

Drilled the stud 3 times in order to get the extrsctircdeep enough to bite

Removed a broken valve thread first try.

Needed to repair my pressure washer that had a broken thermal release valve. Broke piece came right out first try.

Extractors worked right out of the package. Broken off bolt holding blade on lawnmower deck spindle came right out. Extremely handy to have the proper drill bit right along side of each size extractor. Didn't waste time finding the right bit.

Best way to remove screws and bolts

When a screw or bolt is damaged and can not be removed with a screw driver or wrench, this set of extraction tools is a life saver. The drill bits are matched to the extracting shanks so that the hole is the correct size to insert the extractor and turn it out.

Good for the job

Product worked as it should broke bolt out new bolt in will keep to use again in the future.
