What Customers Are Saying
This screw extractor set has mixed performance. Some users found it effective at removing seized or stripped screws and bolts, while others reported issues with the drill bits wearing out quickly or the extractors themselves breaking. The quality and durability of the components seem to be the main concerns. However, a number of users did express satisfaction with the product, especially for lighter-duty applications.

doesnt work on metal screw
Used on a tub overflow screw. It did absolutely nothing. wouldn't catch on to anything. Yes I drilled the hole deep enough. yes I drilled in reverse at slow and very slow speed. Mayby it works on wood or plaster but not on a overflow screw connected to the plate.

Best screw extractor I’ve used
Would RecommendI’ve used other screw extractors before with limited success. This set of extractors worked beautifully. I had to use one size smaller drill bit and extractor than was recommended. When drilled deep enough, these extractors have plenty of grip.

Screw extractor kit
Would RecommendProduct worked as designed. Bit's strong metal enabled high torque without snapping. Step-up drilling of extractor hole is possible with this kit. Great tool for handyman's tool box.

Not a bad product
Would RecommendI had an issue with a drill bit breaking on me when drilling the hole in a medium sized bolt and had to use another bit from my other tools however the extractor itself worked great and had no problems once it was set in the bolt

Disappointed
Would Not RecommendI thought I was getting the same Hanson extractor set I use at work almost daily, except not in the nice metal box. Look carefully, the drill bits are not left handed cut. In many instances the drill bit alone will extract the bolt.these will mot because there right hand cut.

Saved My Bacon
Would RecommendBroke off a screw in a motorcycle crankcase. Fortunately the break was fairly clean. I used a punch and made a dimple. Used the smaller drill bit in the kit to start. Switched to the 7/64 bit and hoped I wouldn't get off center. With a little oil (which makes a huge difference) I drilled all the way through the screw. Tapped in the extractor, hit the part with heat until it was smoking and the screw came right out. Without heat, the extractor was twisting not turning. So take your time, use...

It works
Would RecommendI had a brake caliper bolt break off into my brake caliper, because I overtorqued it. So it was in there very tight. I took a hammer and put one of the smaller pieces in there (it already had a hole because its a brake caliper bolt) and used a BFW and got it out no problem. Not sure why other people are having so many issues but I just used an adjustable wrench

Dont buy
Would Not RecommendI bought these to remove a broken bolt in an engine im working on. Started drilling through the bolt to make the whole big enough etc...when the whole was big enough and deep enough i put the tap in to remove the broken bolt and as soon as i put it in, it broke and now the tap is stuck in the broken bolt. Are you bleeping kidding me? Thanks for making it that much more of a problem
Worked for set screw in faucet handle
Would RecommendWorked great to remove set screw in shower faucet handle.
Great Item.
Would RecommendNever let me down it works Everytime I need it. I work in maintenance in a industrial place and it works fine. I don't know what this people talking about.
Just works
Would RecommendI didn't use the included drill bits so I can't comment on them. However, the extractor itself (when combined with an adjustable tap hand tool to hold it) worked brilliantly. People who are breaking these are either using power tools or way too much force. At least when it comes to brand new bolts that are broken. I can't speak to the old rusted ones as that wasn't my usage.
rounded allen wrench headed bolt
Would RecommendI had a Allen wrench headed bolt on my delta 6 inch jointer that rounded out when I was removing it to change the blades. It was in so tight that I could not removed it even when the bolt was heated with a torch. After purchasing the extractor, I drilled the hole in the bolt with the supplied bit. I inserted the extractor and with little effort the bolt was removed. I am very pleased with the performance of this product and would recommend its use to others
Spiral Screw Extractor
Would RecommendI needed help in getting a screw out of my treadmill. This worked out perfectly and having the correct drill bit was especially helpful. Worked the first time and later on a screw rusted into some garden equipment.
