What Customers Are Saying

This screw extractor set has mixed performance. Some users found it effective at removing seized or stripped screws and bolts, while others reported issues with the drill bits wearing out quickly or the extractors themselves breaking. The quality and durability of the components seem to be the main concerns. However, a number of users did express satisfaction with the product, especially for lighter-duty applications.

Just awful

I bought this 10 pack for a good chunk of change to remove some broken screws. Even the smallest drill bit couldn't remotely come closet to drilling a hole into the broken screw. Wasn't even able to use the extraction tool. Hopefully Lowe's will take it back!

Bites Aggressively

Would Recommend

I over-torqued a valve cover bolt on my Wrangler and of course it snapped off close to the cylinder head. No chance to grab and remove with Vice Grips. I had a set of the Speed Out extractors but they have never been very satisfactory and weren't in this situation. I purchased the Irwin extractors at Lowes because they seemed to have a more aggressive design. The key is centering the hole in the bolt. The Irwin worked flawlessly with very little effort.

Didn’t do the job

Would Not Recommend

Didn’t work. The T-handle barely holds the bits and when I did get it to hold it wouldn’t grab onto the old screws well enough to remove them.
