Profile of success

We just installed our new GE Profile microwave above our profile cook top. It fit perfectly and we used the new SS filler kit as well ... it was installed perfectly and looks great. We had over 15 years on our old profile microwave and hope this lasts as long. It is a really nice appliance.

I almost ignored this request but I actually quite like the new microwave. The LG it replaced seriously just fell apart. This seems well made, the fan works well. The controls are easy to access. Nothing bad to say. Probably going to replace the stove with a compatible GE soon.

Good looking with good features

We are very happy with our new GE Microwave oven. We like the extended filter possibility. And the sensor settings are easy to use.

Disappointed

The produce itself is excellent. The extended exhaust system is a very valuable feature. But the color of my G.E. profile micro wave did not match with my E.G. Profile oven. My oven glass was black and the micro wave glass was a gray. We were very disappointed.

Over the counter microwave GE Profile

It is a good-looking product, but more cumbersome to operate than an LG microwave we had before. The touch buttons have to be pressed hard to work. Also, for cook times, you cannot time it for 12 or 13 seconds, you can go up or down only in 15-second steps.

Microwave is simple with an amazing exhaust system

The extra exhaust helps tremendously while making Indian food. Our food tends to leave a lingering odor of spices which thanks to this microwave does not.

Not as expected.

The only issue so far is that while the fan sound like it's pulling lots of air it seems to pull less than the other microwave we took of. Especially when the extender is open the two front air ports pull even less than when pushed in. The only reason I bought it was because of the extension and more cfms which does not do what it says.

Replaced a 12 year GE Profile microwave

Our 12 year old GE Profile micorwave was great and was sorry to see it die. So I bought this one and have been pleased. It heats faster and is quieter than the old one. The fan is my favorite feature as it really pulls the steam up and away A LOT better than the old one. It is also easier to see inside when running. Very easy to operate and clean. Replaces another GE product perfectly.

Great Microwave

Our GE Profile microwave was installed three weeks ago. We are very pleased with the microwave’s performance, appearance and the various features. We are especially pleased with the Slide-Out Hood, Control Panel and Selector Dial.

Ok microwave

This seems like a decent microwave. Handle is strong. Functions are adequate. Lighting inside is poor mainly due to the inside paint being dark in color. A keyboard would have been nice. Thirty second intervals just don't seem to cut it. Baby sitting must be required. Boiling water is a pain which should be easy.

Dial your settings even the clock

Easy to operate pull out vent and interior size is fantastic. The lights illuminate my cook top and the vent captures all smoke and steam from the cook top.My wife is loving it and that is what I like the best .five thumbs up on this one.

Great features and size

So far so good after almost two weeks. It’s a big microwave. We have the GE stove and the chef connect has been great as the fan and light turns on when we turn the stovetop on. I also like the extendable vent fan while cooking on the front burners. If I had a draw back at the moment, it’s getting use to the turn dial and only being able to increments of 15 seconds when cooking or warming items up. The steam clean feature is also a nice touch.

IT'S OK

For the most part I like it. I do not like that it hums and shakes when in use and I do not like that you can not set single digit when you are heating things. I like to warm my bread for 3 to 7 seconds, this model does not allow that. It only goes in 15 second increments.

Extension Fan is the Best!

Absolutely thrilled with this purchase. I specifically bought this product for the extension fan it offers. It works better than I ever imagined. No issues at all with getting to know the features. Just like all GE profile products this looks stylish as well.

Simplicity

We where looking for a straight microwave, no bells and whistles, but with a stronger extractor than most, 400 cfm is the highest we found but this one extends over the whole stove top making it very convenient.
