So big

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new refrigerator is such a step up from what we had that it is hard to compare. We especially love the overall space. The grandkids love the water dispenser that senses your cup. Also, I am one who forgets to close the door so the alarm is much appreciated.

Compresser went out

Had been a decent refrigerator for 7 years but then the compressor went out. I expected it to last longer. I will try another GE because the other brands are worse but I am disappointed in this one.

We bought a GE refrigerator, model PFE28KYNJFS, less than a year ago, and it’s been nothing but problems. First, the shelves started breaking. Then we noticed food—especially produce like lettuce—was spoiling in just a couple of days. I set the temperature to the coldest setting, 34°F, and put a thermometer inside. The actual reading? Great capacity French door refrigerator

I bought full depth French door refrigerator after owning a counter depth side by side. This model is superior in capacity, adjustable shelving and appearance. So far, after owning a few weeks, it is fantastic

Slow Water

How can I make the drinking water flow out of the door get faster. VERY SLOW

Don't buy this without extended warranty

This refrigerator broke (not freezing or cooling at all) after 4 years. We waited for 18 days for GE Factory Service to fix it. The repair worked for 17 days and the refrigerator is broken (same symptoms) again. WE are again waiting for GE Factory Service. So I guess the warranty isn't very good either. By the way, this is a beautiful refrigerator both inside and out and it worked well for 4 years!

Broken twice in 4 years

I was so excited for this fridge since it matched all of our brand new appliances in our new house. However, this is now the second time the compressor for the ice maker has broken in a year. It seems crazy we spent $3000 on a fridge that can’t even last 4 years. Yes, the first time it happened it was still covered under warranty, but the time it takes for someone to come out and parts is such a hassle.

Great Refrigerator

Very pleased with the refrigerator. Had to do very little to make it fit.

Water filter replace monthly

Burns through water filters every 3 weeks. Prohibits water and ice from dispensing and says replace water filter. Makes no sense only 2 ppl in the house. Like a monopoly, most fridges still dispense water and ice when filter replacement needed this one does not.

Nice unit

Large capacity. Very quiet. Overall a nice product.

Much more fridge space than my old one. The auto fill water is nice.

Quality

The electronic blower fan stop working after 5 years. Two months after the warranty expired.

Worth the money

This fridge is a big upgrade over our 24 yr old top freezer unit that it replaces. Positive attributes: capacity, configuration, hands-free water dispenser, lighting, temperature control, and attractive appearance. Had to adapt our cabinets to accommodate the height of the GE, but it was worth the effort. Don’t buy this fridge

I purchased this fridge in March, and have already had service at my house 3 times. It quit working intermittently and i had to clean out all of the food out of the fridge and freezer twice. The backboard was replaced and now it running fine, but I don't trust it. My last fridge was a similar model and it lasted many years. This new one is a total hunk of junk.

Great refrigerator without all the electronics

Overall we are very satisfied with our GE profile refrigerator. Large capacity and easy adjustments to the shelves are great. The auto fill water feature is pretty handy and being used regularly.

Ice maker features are excellent. Love the sensore

I've used GE Products for over 60 years. They are the best.
