good GE refrigerator

We purchased our GE refrigerator February 18th and have had it for about 5 weeks. We are happy with our purchase, but we see a few things they could improve on. The overall capacity of the GE #GFE28GYNFS refrigerator is good as we can fit a lot of product in the unit. The freezer section below has a lot of space too so ample room for frozen foods. refrigerator review

In general, the refrigerator is very good, There are a couple items that could be better. First, the water area on the door has a tray that is flat and does not capture any water that spills. Second, the inner drawer for meats, drinks, etc that is the width of the unit cou9old be in two sections so that it would not be required to open the exterior doors to access.

Beautiful fridge

Beautiful! Ice maker is small and you have to empty into a bin if you want to store a lot of ice. The ice bin is hard to open. But that slim feature is what gives the fridge more room. Fridge makes a humming sound when it is on. I do wish the crushed ice pieces were smaller. Freezer has lots of room.

Plastic cover

I absolutely love the refrigerator. It’s wonderful! However, the way they wrap it with plastic makes it nearly impossible. Well, it makes it impossible to clearly clear the plastic because they put the plastic on and then add the finishing pieces which makes it unbelievably difficult to remove all the plastic around the edges.

Ice maker issue

I’ve had this refrigerator before, that’s why I bought it again. The ice maker has some issues. I can’t figure out who to take that up with.

It's much bigger than refrigerators 30 years ago.

Decent Refrigerator, sub par Ice Maker.

We purchased this refrigerator 5 years ago. The size is great but there are some significant shortcomings that have caused us to purchase a new refrigerator. My biggest complaint is the ice maker. It was fine for the first couple of years but over time we started noticing the ice was “melting” and refreezing in the door. Loved Adjustability

We like the fact that we do have the ability to change the height of certain places to store food and beverages. It was one of the reasons for our purchase to allow us the ability to adjust things to suit our needs.

Am I Really the only one?!

I must be the most unlucky purchaser of GE products ever. Bought one of these with bottom ice maker only to watch it spend more time broken than working. Then dumb enough to replace it with the same model to keep the bottom ice maker. The new one was rebuilt under warranty and broke after the extended warranty. Tech spend last few weeks trouble shooting and replacing everything. Still broken! The cheap fridge I had to buy with the first one being broken is doing great. Never again! Case ...

Not a cheap Purchase so much wrong

The water line has dripped since day one. GE farms out service calls to 'Bodwell". My purchase was incorrectly dated in their system. The water continues to drip and now there is an odd noise its 3 months old. I cant imagine having small kids and lots of use its just two of us!

Spacious and configured well

Love this fridge. It’s so roomy and the two layers in the freezer are great.

New GE french door stainless frig

This model is perfect for us. Lots of space, great interior lighting, adjustable shelving. The fingerprint resistant stainless exterior is great.
