Last a long time.. Just need the bottom freezer seal replaced

Horrible

The water and ice machine taste chemically. I've called multiple times and they said to just wait it out. It's been 9 months and it still tastes like chemicals. Afraid to let me kids use it because I'm sure it's toxic. Also, when they delivered it they took off the pink plastic wrap and to this DAY I am still pulling it out of crevices. It looks trashy is the cellophane is still everywhere.

Disappointed

door ice maker does not work properly 100% of the time. water dispenser does not dispense cold water. Such a hassle all the time.

Stopped working at 2 years old

Freezer stopped freezing at exactly two years after purchase date...rep at GE politely told me "no warranty". Thow away quality for thousands of dollars! Plus the $500 in food that was ruined... I won't be using GE products in my home staging or property management companies going forward.

Okay but not great.

Bought this GE refrigerator and it's been okay. it's nice to have both doors open, easy to get into. Ice maker is terrible, slow, jams frequently, only alternative is to add aftermarket ice maker to freezer area. Lowe's floor representative and delivery crew top notch - 5 stars each! GE product not so much.

Noisy

This fridge has been loud since I bought it a couple years ago. Leveling tweaks didn’t help, sometimes it gets extra noisy and I can get it to just be regular noisy by shaking it. Lately it has been super noisy and nothing seems to help. Piece of crap.

Five STARS!

We replaced a 25-year-old Frigidaire side by side freezer refrigerator with this French door with a freezer drawer on the bottom. This GE refrigerator is outstanding it has great lighting it has plenty of space more room than we had before the way it's laid out is brilliant we just love it !! :-)

The best part of the whole experience was the service delivery by Luther & Tristan. They were outstanding and took exceptional care in taking out the old fridge and bringing the new one into the house. They answered all of our questions and were so friendly. We really did not get any help from Lowes in Monroe maybe they thought we were too old and just did not want to help. We ended up ordering the same fridge we had online and it came from Charlotte. Very disappointed in our local Lowe...

Recommend with reservations

We like some of the attributes of this model, like the compact ice maker. We are concerned about the temperature evenness throughout the fridge; our thermometer shows mixed results in different parts of the space. Also, the crisper drawer collects moisture, which I wasn't expecting. In terms of capacity, t's more spacious than other models in the market, but still wish it provided more flexibility, like a split shelf for taller pots. Good to have a working refrigerator Can see the advantages of buying up. Previous one would nearly close itself. Guess U “ get what U pay for”

Ice Maker Design Flaw

The ice maker has a major design flaw. Big chunk of ice always got stuck on top of the ice maker. We asked the authorized service man to see any better solution. Unfortunately, he could do nothing and overheard the design of the ice maker was changed in a later version. So if you are looking for this model, please make sure the ice maker with newer design to avoid ice clogging.

new compressor already??

Local repairman - New type of gas, can't weld a leak, the seals commonly leak, To fix it, cost half the price of the fridge. 2 years old, latest and greatest model. Replaced a Samsung fridge same style, because the compressor went out in 3 years. Was told to stay away from Samsung, So I bought a GE, now 2 years it has gone out. not a warranty man in my area. but, its not covered anyways. The fridge i grew up with, as a kid, its still running.

Good one

Overall experience has been great. Temperatures consistency is freat, finger printer resistance is good, no frost build up.one minor issue is noise when the room is quite, more than my previous refriegerator.

Freezer malfunctioning in Year 2

We were delighted with this new freezer when we moved into our home, but two years in its freezer is no longer reliable and food is randomly thawing. 1 year warranty only, so appears we may need to invest in something different.

Moldy dairy products

I am very disappointed with this appliance. I have had it repaired once and all my dairy products get moldy long before the expiration date, the temperature doesn't keep dairy products cold enough, I would not recommend GE to anyone.

Good appliance, stylish too

I like the design of this appliance. It works as it should, however it does make a bit of noise every once in a while . Our other one didn’t do that but also we had an issue with it freezing so… also you don’t get to completely escape fingerprints. I actually think stainless steel was easier to clean. I believe everything is good

HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND TEAMWORK

Refrigerator would never get cool enough. Shouldn’t keep milk for a week. Temperature selection turn as cool as it would go. Driving me crazy. Thought is was just a piece of junk but turns out it’s worse then junk. Fan has never been working in fridge since it was installed brand new 5 months ago. Great French drawer frudge

I love this fridge especially how the freezer is set up. I love sliding out the 2 top drawers. There is so much room! I love how easy it is to get the ice out if I needed to fill a cooler. I love the storage in the fridge. My old fridge only lasted 11 years though but I did buy the same model.
