Ok product, but was a bit hard to figure out exactly how to use it

VersaClip Usage

In researching hidden fasteners for the Choice Deck Top Boards consider using Veranda Clips if you will have butt joints on your deck. Veranda fasteners include clips designed for butt joints which VersaClip does not offer. If you use VersaClips you will have to double up the joists beneath the butt joints to allow the use of two line fasteners (extra work). Both manufacturers have acceptable line fasteners and start/stop clips.

Nice product

These fasteners were easy to install. Used them with Tropics deck boards. For a better fit had to slightly bend up each clip before installing the next board.

A Little Tricky

These can be a little tricky to use, but they are less expensive than the competition, and provide a nice even spacing!

easy to install

I really like the way the hidden fasteners look, there easy to install but the screws themselves which are stainless steel, are so easy to strip out the head or pop the head right off. they do come with extra drive bits. I would still buy again because they look better than screws through the deck.

Way over Price

This product is helpfull with your deck board fastening but it is way over price. There is no similar product in market that is why this company charged customer so much for this. for small deck boarding I endedd up buying 3 boxes which cost me more than 150$ only for this product.

Versa clip hidden fasteners

Fasteners worked great, only issue I found was the heads stripped out easily. Would be great if square drive was changed to star pattern.

Insufficient number of start/stop clips

Insufficient number (10) of start/stop clips per package. You should sell packs of start/stop clips in quantities of 10 or 20 clips per package for bigger jobs!

Screws failed when set to hard the Roberts head was easily compromised

Great to use once you figure them out. Wish the screws were a bit longer. Very expensive compared to screws.

Clips work great. Screws...not so much.

I recently installed some Fiberon decking on my side entrance porch and back deck. These clips work great for Fiberon decking. They hold the decking in place well and doesn't allow it to slip. Did not use the starter clips. Should be sold separately. The screws are another story. They come with the "free" square head bit to install them. Nice idea but Over Priced

Wasn't happy with product. Broke three or more screws, stripped the heads on a hand full. Ended up driving some in like nails when I ran short. There is one screw for each clip, so don't mess up if you need a full box. My deck was 16' long' my board 12' so when it came time to butt boards the clip worked, but they need to have more width. Only wished I had seen the Trex Universal 94 Count. Would have saved $17.00 per box ($34.00). Now I'm not happy with me.

Worked fine for me

I read reviews before buying and was hesitant, but this product did fine for me. I bit expensive but since it is stainless steel should outlast the deck and it looks great. It takes about 50% longer than screwing from the top. Nice fasteners but poor screws.

Recently purchased some composite decking and decided to go with hidden fasteners to recover my side entry porch and my back deck. I decided to start on the side entrance porch first. The fasteners were great. Really made the deck look nice by not having screw holes everywhere. The big drawback is the screws that come with the kit. Horrible fasteners--buy the Trex ones!

oh, Lowes, why oh why would you stock these fasteners rather than the Trex brand ones? These are significantly more expensive, and horrible to work with. No face fasteners but not easy to use

This is the fastener that Lowe's has available for grooved Trex decking. First of all, they're pricey but they do come in 2 package sizes, so you don't have to end up with lots of spares. Installation is trickey and gets easier with experience. The 2 wings engage the grooves on successive boards and the screw goes in at a 45 degree angle which can do a nice job of cinching the boards into each other.
