Hot knife through butter

I put it to work cleaning up some heavily overgrown dogwood trees in my front yard and the cutting power on this thing is crazy. It felt like a hot knife going through soft butter. I don’t have much experience with chainsaws but I would assume this Ego is on par with gasoline units in terms of cutting power and it works just like you would expect a chainsaw ...

Not As Strong Advertised

The advertisement for this 1810 chainsaw will tell you it’s more powerful when in fact Ego changed the gearing and added a torque limit. So don’t think it’s better because it’s less powerful. Which is too bad because I’ve had plenty of Ego tools and they are mostly good.

Impressive performance

I also have a Greenworks and a gasoline powered chain saw. I recently had a large maple get blown down. Well, the gasoline saw wouldn't start. (It hadn't been used in over a year and I had let it sit with gas in the tank.) The Greenworks worked, but is much slower cutting. (The chain was sharp.) I normally used the Greenworks for light duty work because it is so much quieter and lighter. Love the New CS 1815 Chain Saw

The CS 1815 was a replacement for my older version. The enhancements are excellent. The ergonomics and the cutting power have both improved significantly. I've also observed that the chain braking is quicker than the older model, noticeably improving the safety. I would highly recommend this saw to anyone.

Powerful electric chainsaw with nice features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This EGO POWER+ electric chainsaw is great. I've used it to cut up a tree that had broken off its top, and it did it effortlessly. Since it's electric, it's remarkably quiet for a chainsaw. Even with its large battery, I felt like it wasn't that heavy and I had an easy time handling it.
