Design flaw
The chain consistently comes loose on bigger cuts and harder wood. This is a huge complaint for this model. Also when buying the store did not tell me I had to try it out and return within 48 hours. It was raining and was not used right away. Now I’m stuck with an expensive trimmer.

Would RecommendThe chainsaw is surprisingly powerful compared to their gas counterpart. The only issue I have is that the battery doesn’t last very long. I can do about 20-25 cuts before the battery dies. This is starting from a fully charged battery. On the other side, you don’t have to deal with mixing gas and additives.

Would RecommendNo more mixing gas, hard pulls to start, gagging on idle fumes, coming down off the ladder to restart or worrying about returning rented equipment. The 18" chainsaw has been great to have and use whenever I'm ready, huge improvement over gas!

Would Recommendmy gas saw broke, i tried my friends Stihl electric and loved it. I was going to buy Stihl but I saw this EGO was higher rated and I already have battery from lawnmower and trimmer so it was a no-brainer. used it many times. as long as chain is sharp (like any other saw) it cuts great.
