Seriously Impressive Battery Chainsaw
Would RecommendI bought this chainsaw expecting a capable tool for maintaining my wooded property, but it has genuinely exceeded my expectations. After a recent storm damaged a very large mature hardwood tree, this 18" EGO handled the entire felling job and started making short work of the massive trunk. Plenty of power, easy to handle, and none of the hassle of a gas saw. I honestly did not expect a battery-powered chainsaw to perform this well on a tree of this size. Extremely impressed.

Would Not Recommendthis thing is horrible the battery dies so fast and if it doesnt die it overheats i was cutting 14 to 16 inch logs and i made about 20 cuts then it died recharged it made a few cuts then it overheated any of these good reviews must of been cutting twigs

Would Not RecommendThought I'd give Ego a try. This saw does ok, but does not perform as well as my ECHO DCS-5000 that I've had for 2 years now. The ECHO has longer run time and seems to have more power thru the cut.

Would RecommendThe EGO 18" chainsaw exceeded my expectations. I really put it to the test cutting more than two (2) chords of logs over several days, some 16" in diameter. The saw cut everything without hesitation as long as I kept the chain sharp. The only limitation I encountered is the relatively low battery life. So, I bought an extra, after market battery, since an EGO battery cost almost as much as the saw and battery combination.
