Would RecommendSaw was delivered Sunday and to my delight it was completely assembled out of the box. Charged the battery and Monday proceeded to add chain oil and went to work on a 12” diameter log. It cut it up very easily. I love the outside chain adjustment. My early take is this saw is a buy although I can’t vouch for battery life. Probably going to sell my Stihl gas saw and buy a second battery.
CS1810
Would RecommendI just recently purchased the ego cs1810, returning the cs1800 chainsaw I purchased earlier. The cs1800 has a faulty chain tensioning mechanism that apparently was updated and improved in the more costly cs1810. The cs1810 is a pleasure to work with. I have been using it to remove a 6ft tree stump having a diameter of between 3 and 4 ft. It is getting through this massive stump easily. The only issue ... the battery lifetime is about 1/2 hour and recharging fully takes about 2 hours or so. It wo...

Quieter and more powerful than expected
Would RecommendI have had several gas chainsaws in the past and have a couple of smaller electric models. This was the largest electric chainsaw I have purchased. It blows away any gas powered chainsaw I have ever used. The amount of time save not fiddling with a gas chainsaw was a game changer. Power was surprising as it cuts just as well as gas but is much quieter. Having a second battery eliminates downtime. I will never buy another gas chainsaw.

Made out of cheap plastic
Would Not RecommendWhile it cuts fine, I completely shattered the plastic of mine when a branch hit it. So now it's super glued and wrapped quite heavily with reinforced Gorilla tape. This might be fine for the occasional back yard branch trimming, but not for rigorous land clearing where you're cutting down whole trees, tossing branches onto piles, etc. It shouldn't be built like a child's toy. A truck should be able to drive over it! If it breaks this easily in the heat, imagine how brittle it'll be in the bitte...

I bought this because I already have the mower, trimmer and blower. Although I've only used it once so far I found it to be easy to use and out performs my gas chainsaw. I appreciate the fact that the batteries are interchangeable with my other Ego products.

OK Chainsaw but needs Improvements
Would Not RecommendI like the chainsaw but there are a few things that I think could be improved. It should come with a carrying case, the unit is quite heavy with the battery and the chain dulls quickly cutting trees
