Good vision day and night, too sensitive motion

Camera image quality and panning (zooming) work great day and night, and audio is also good. Motion sensitivity is too much as flying insects can trigger events.

Great product

I'm using this product for a few months already, and it has been a great experience. Easy to use, easy to install, and the best part: easy to turn on/off. Besides it, the sensor does what promises, as notifying about movements when active, and shutting down the AC when doors are open

Great product for my needs

I've got a door that, while it's on a closer, the door doesn't close completely and needs human assistance. The ecobee SmartSensor for doors does a great job of alerting me when the door is still ajar and even gets my attention when it shuts off the a/c! I love it!

Amazing addition to our Rental

We added the Ecobee sensors to the doors in our rental unit. We get notifications if the doors are left open for more than 5?minutes the AC will shut off. Or if the humidity is high we get a notification.

Not worth it

I had them for about a week, I wanted to manage my AC better, stop when the windows are open and resume when they're closed again. But the only way to do that is with the full security premium.

Easy Set Up - Great Camera

We have one SmartCamera in our great room (downstairs) to monitor our home while we are away and at night while sleeping (upstairs). The video is clear, easy to pan the area, zoom in etc. We have activated the siren and voice, it is a pretty amazing piece of technology. Highly recommend!!

Requires Subscription for any use

Very frustrating that this product requires a subscription to the security service just to use the open/close feature to stop your HVAC. It’s not clear from the product description that that’s the case. The product is effectively a brick if you don’t subscribe. I returned.

Very disappointing products

I’d always heard positive things about ecobee thermostat products. Same can’t be said for cameras or sensors. Both cameras fall off their mounts often, the glass front of one smashed already (~3 months in). The sensors can’t maintain connection to the camera and the camera freezes constantly when they are connected

Its just om

Camera doesn't catch movement right in front of it at times. Have it set to capture all motion but it doesnt always.

Camera is excellent….app is bad

The camera quality is excellent. However, the live view is not reliable. It takes a few refreshes for the live video to come up on a regular basis. I do not have this problem with Ring subscription. Need to improve.

Ecobee Smart Camera

Installed the camera three weeks ago; it has worked flawlessly. Works well in system with our Ecobee thermostat and extra door security sensors.

Best Investment Ever!

Are you one of those families who likes to air out their home, by opening windows and doors. We are, even in the winter. Life Before SmartSensors, we were both heating and cooling the outdoors when doing so. Easy to instal. Great features.

I’ve been using this product for several weeks now. As a sensor for our smart thermostat, it’s awesome. If the door/window is open for more than 5 minutes, it deactivated the central air so that we don’t waste energy. I’ll be looking to pick up another set for other doors and windows in the house.

Even temps in great room

We have 2 zones on opposite sides of the house, our great room which is located in the middle of the zones, was always too hot or cold. I put two SmartSenors in the great room hoping it would even out the fluctuations. It has worked wonderfully to achieve the results I was hoping for.

Easy-to-use

This was super easy to install. I would recommend. Talked to some installers and said it was the best.

Several Points

Have it with Apple Kit and very limited functions with apple kit. Also away function incl geofencing seems not to work properly or takes too long until it switches to away. That is not energy star, no sense keeping cooling/heating ignoring that we are away, for what. Nest seems to make this better. Also sometimes compressor isn’t switching on (switch time) but it doesnt say why, which restriction isnt let it start. Door/windows eco fuctions switches off compressor without resoecting compressor...

indoor Camera

The camera is a welcome addition to our home. It is great as security and as a way for my son to keep eye on elderly parent. Was amazed yesterday went to doctor and got message on phone " looks like no one is home, should I set alarm to away" Now that is real security.

Added a Smart Camera
