Better than the rest

With the remote sensors it averages out the temps and then heats the house from there... Just doesn't take one measurement in the hallway and freeze out the rest of the home. Great product easy to install.

A must have - especially for 2-story style homes!

I bought this a month ago and it accommodates everything for those living in 2-story homes! Install the main unit on the main floor, and install the remote senors upstairs and downstairs to create three zones of occupancy. What a great idea! I'm saving on my heating bill already!

Awesome Thermostat - better than Nest!

I love my Ecobee3. I was on the fence between the Nest and this, but the capability of the remote sensor sold me on Ecobee3. I have always had issues with the temperature being ~4-5 deg warmer in my loft. After installation, the temperature fluctuation is only ~1 deg if any the very next day. I do prefer the Nest's interface, but if you have heating/cooling inconsistencies it works wonders. I love my Ecobee3 - both of them. My house has 2 separate forced-hot-air furnaces w/AC (mainfloor and upstairs/bedroom). The Ecobee3 is a huge improvement over traditional programmable thermostats, but it still requires work. Great Smart Thermostat

I purchased this thermostat vs. The Nest because it has some many more features. If you ask most contractors they will recommend this thermostat over any other. It dropped my electric bill $50 a month and I didn't have any issues installing it.

Beautiful thermostat

Using my ecobee in a tiny home, thermostat is near my furnace ducting, so having the extra sensors is great. Having full control of my home when i'm on the road and being able to be notified if something isn't working properly is beautiful.

Very useful and forward thinking product

I like the thermostat very much. Installation is straight forward. For homes without C wire, power extender kit that is provided will help to power the thermostat. No more low battery signs. Installing on a dry wall is simple but my home has a box to mount the thermostat and I was little tricky because no hardware is provided for mounting on a box. Worth the investment

I purchased the ecobee and installed that day. Easy to follow directions. Once set up I downloaded the app and connected the additional sensor for my second floor. I also qualified for a $100 rebate from my gas company for installing the ecobee

Not automation, just a remote control

So disappointed. I was impressed with the Ecobee3 when I installed it. The installation process is thoughtfully designed. The hardware is great. The software is empty and I feel like I wasted my time and money. Auto-mation means things happen auto-matically. If you live by yourself, the Ecobee3 will be great. I purchased an Ecobee3 from our local Lowes. It was very easy to install, and it works great. I love the detailed information available and the energy savings. It is much better than the Nest because of the remote sensors.

I love the convenience of using my phone or my Amazon Echo to control my ecobee. It is so easy to use. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a wireless thermostat

I installed this thermostat a month ago and I have loved it! Besides the sleek look and fun display, including local weather updates, the sensors are the greatest. Here in Michigan, I own a ranch style house with a walk-out basement. The basement always tends to be a few degrees cooler than the main floor and it's always been a little bit of a frustration. Awesome for parents

Really great way to monitor the temp in kids rooms over the night. We have young kids in a bedroom a floor away from our Master bed. We worried about the temp in that room over the Michigan winter nights. Ecobee allows us to set that rooms temp as a priority and alarm me if it goes low. Perfect addition to the house.

Not worth $250 Very Bad Wifi!!!

Very Bad Wifi!!! It does not support 802.11h or 5ghz. It goes offline until you pull from wall and plug back in. You will loose connectivity if you have any advanced wifi APs, that support dynamic channel switching(802.11h). It also does not support the 5ghz band. So I was so excited to get this up and running.
