This things is great. I'm an iOS user and love the HomeKit integration. Controlling temperature with Siri is one of those things I thought I'd never use until I was working in my office, tied up so I couldn't move for a while. Great for my family's older home

My wife, little one & I live in an 1940's bungalow in Orlando so, needless to say, insulation is non-existent and AC is expensive. At night, our bedrooms cooled quickly but other rooms didn't so the AC ran all night (we were freezing!). After getting the Ecobee, we placed the remote sensor in the baby's room and it kept his room and ours perfect at night + the AC ran a lot less. Win, win.

Better than the competition

I was a loyal Nest user prior to buying my Ecobee thermostats. I recently moved into a new home that had a two zone system serving 4 floors (finished basement, main floor, upper floor and finished attic). Remote sensors made the temps in my home more consistent. No longer is the rounds cold and clammy, but the exact temp I set the thermostat to.

Great upgrade

Major upgrade from an old mercury tstat. Easy to install, so far connectivity through the app or web browser has been great. Remote sensors helps control to the rooms we need rather than the thermostat location.

What sets this one apart from the others is the sensors you can use to full temp. Control throughout the house. The more sensors the more even temp throughout. The only thermostat built for homes with more than one room.

My friend has a nest, a different friend has a smart thermostat by Honeywell I believe.....I did a little homework, I went with the ecobee. It's the best thing I've bought all year. Super easy to self-install, even easier to set up programming. It's smart. Vey smart. And very easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone !!!!!

Best thermostat I've owned.

Works perfectly. Easy to install and configure. House much more comfortable with the room sensors that can be programmed to follow the desired room at desired times. HomeKit integration was easy to setup and works perfectly.

Great thermostat so far

I have only had this installed for about 2 weeks now but so far it has worked out good. I really like that after about an hour or so of no movement in the house that the Ecobee can automatically change the temperature based on what your settings are. It is also a really nice and modern look. I only have one additional sensor but hope to add more on to see exactly how it can work.

If you have a home with multiple rooms and/or levels, look no more. This is your smart thermostat. With the option to have multiple sensors, your home with have a more consistent and comfortable setting. If you have embraced an Apple ecosystem, and ecobee3 is your go to smart thermostat. Real good product. Before purchasing, make sure you have a common wire to feed power to the ecobee3. Once you can confirm you have one, installation is pretty easy.

Installed in May of 2016 and Love My Ecobee, I can adjust the temperature in the house before getting out of bed from my phone app., also raise it just before leaving work for the day,,, best was I went on vacation and forgot to turn up the air conditioning, I would have been cooling a house for no reason and my bill would have been much higher, But with Ecobee its easy just open the app. and raise them setting... I have a 3 story house so the sensors really help keep the used areas at the temp ...

This thermostat has already surpassed any expectations. The multi room sensors are absolutely amazing, I can control the temperature in any room I have a sensor in, it's awesome. I love the display, with weather and everything. This system is just at the beginning of its potential.

After a bad experience with a Nest, poor furnace compatibility and a inability to adjust behavior to my preferences and not those Nest, I installed an Ecobee 3. Nest may have better industrial design, but the Ecobee 3 is superior in every other way. The extra sensor allows me to balance temperature in my home when I use a supplemental heat source, like a wood stove.
